Just got a Mustang 1 and the amp works perfectly. However, when connected to the computer after a short time the reverb effect disappears and a delay effect takes its place. I and using the latest version of fuse and upgraded the firmware on the amp. It only seems to happen with the reverb preset.

I noticed something like this on my M2...

Since I don't change effects settings using the amp (I use Fuse for those kinds of things) I set both effects controls to "OFF" and haven't seen it again. It is possible that I had left the control near a switching point and the vibrations would send it to the next setting.

Or, it could be a bad control...which can be replaced under warranty...but try turning off the controls and see if the problem goes away to see if that is it.

I keep losing either the Modulator or the Reverb panel and if I'm trying to modify one of them using fuse on the PC screen they sometimes drop out. I have tried different positions on the knobs but no joy. I was thinking it was the usb connection but the panels should at least stay constant. I think maybe Fuse is getting signals from the amp and is affecting the Fuse software - don't know but would like to get this fixed. :(
Up to date in Fuse software and also amp firmware so I have ruled that out.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have had the same problem with my Mustang1. I have all the latest software and it is the end of November 2012. A little Fender staff input would be welcome.

Yup. I'm seeing this too. I'm on v. 2.6.1.35.

I've seen modulation effects that weren't part of the preset magically appear. The Save button doesn't' change, suggesting that Fuse doesn't think the preset has changed, but the rogue effect was never part of the preset.

For me, it's primarily the rack-mount Modulation effect that appears. Haven't noticed anything disappear yet.

My problem has not been appearance, but disappearance. I have an FX preset I like, a combo of light reverb and echo. It gives a touch of "atmosphere" that I like. Sometimes, poof, both effects (rack, post amp) just disappear and leave me high and "dry". Literally. It has happened live also. A quick turn off and then reposition to the saved effect fixes it. This is not the fix I seek. Losing my effect in mid-song sucks more than a little bit.

Fender staff, feel free to offer your opinions.

If you're referring to the reverb "panel" effect, it might be worth tossing in that it still has the "stuck knob" problem on the G-DEC, too.

Hi Guys,

It sounds like this is related to an issue we saw on the Fender Mustang I & II amps where there were some instances of the MOD and DEL/REV settings unintentionally switching to different settings on the amp itself. The best thing to do in these cases would be to make sure you are up to date with firmware and if you are using Fender FUSE to edit, turn both effects knobs off on the amp and edit in the software.

The amp should function for you in either case. But the latter suggestion may be worth a try to see if the effects changes you are seeing are corrected. Please let us know if we can assist further. Thanks.
