I am not at my computer that has FUSE, but based on memory, do the following:

1) first you need to add the preset to the media library on your computer. I believe from the "File" menu you can select "add to library" or something along those lines. If you are looking at the preset editor, I believe there is an "import" button.

2) Once the preset is in your media library, either turn to the preset slot in which you want to load the preset using the dial on the amp or from the drop down list in the preset editor.

3) If you are not in the media library view, click on the button in the preset editor to go to the media library.

4) Click on the button to see the media library on your computer (other options are amp, sd card (G-DEC), and I think web).

5) Right click on the preset and select "load preset". This will load it into the currently selected preset slot.

6) I have a G-DEC. At this point, I normally have to push the "save" button on the amp twice to save the preset. The "save" button in Fuse rarely works. If you don't have a G-DEC, you are on your own from here.

I click on "import" and it gives me three choices: amp settings, FX settings, and band settings. I choose amp settings and it pops up a file screen, showing me the presets I've downloaded. I click on one (there's no option to add to library) and nothing really happens. No files are added to my media library.

I know I'm missing something simple and basic. Thanks for the help.

First, is everything plugged in? Hey, you said it might be simple and basic...

Actually, it is simple. Display the Media Library and select Computer and find a preset you want to load to your amp. Right-click it and you should get a pop-up with an option of "Save Preset to Amp". Select that and it will step you through the remaining steps.

First, make sure that any Presets you download are saved in documents>Fender>FUSE>Presets.

If the files are saved there, they will show up in the FUSE Media Library, under the Computer tab. Once you're in the Media Library, just right-click on a Preset and you'll get the option to save it to the amp.
