Well i have a problem with connecting my amp to pc.
The thing is my pc doesn't read my amp at all. I have already checked USB ports in my computer and all are ok. USB cable that im using is working too with other devices. It's strange because a week ago everything was ok. My amp is Fender Mustang II v2.

Hi limbo2015d,

Thanks for posting here. I would suggest that you check out the Troubleshooting Steps via the link included below. Additionally, did you update your PC or make any other notable changes to it prior to the amp no longer connecting? And lastly, do you have any other USB hardware connected, specifically any USB audio hardware? Please check out the linked information and let us know how things are going.

Best Regards,

Alan

My favorite part of this reply is that I frigged around so much with the USB ports that I had to frig around some more to get the keyboard to work. Bottom line, Fender has a great amp and a crappy PC interface. I have developed this whole superstitious ritual based on the support team's this-will-fix-all-your-connection-problems-if-it-doesn't-call-geek-squad document to get Fuse to communicate with the amp. It works about one time in 10. Hopefully, the Fuse development team is working on legitimate a solution. Otherwise it's "delete this, unstall that, unplug this, wait a while, install this, plug in that"...in other words a ridunculous solution

For some mysterious reason it is now connected...I guess speaking in tongues and fire jumping worked.

Tried all the steps in this post at least 5 times. Only a few of the files that are illustrated in this guide to fixing this problem ether exist or are the same as the ones that are placed on the computer when amp is plugged in. The fuse software still refuses to recognise the amp. It has told me that the firmware needs upgraded but refuses to do this (presumably because although it notices the amp is plugged in and knows what type it is, it still insists that "no amp is connected" )
I have spent over 5 hours trying to fix this . As the facility to connect to a computer, download pre-sets, and record was the reason I bought this amp I am feeling that I have been ripped off. Even half your embedded web links take you to blank or missing pages. This sort of crap is not what I expected from Fender. Are you that short of money or talent that you cant design things that work?

Any suggestions? Or are you just going to opt out of the problem by telling me to go and seek out a computer expert to fix it as you have to others.

WHAT A Total RIP OFF

Hello,

first, english is not my native language, so I hope you can understand me.
I also had the "no amp connected" message, but the connection between Amp and my Windows 8.1 was ok (I can use the Amp in Audacity for recording).
But I found a work around for this issue. I've installed a virtual Windows XP (search for "your OS Windows XP mode"), the Win XP Image can be downloaded from Microsoft, as host-software for the virtual OS I installed VMLite Workstation. It works perfect with the Microsoft Image and connects the known USB-devices from Win8 to WinXP. You only have to update the Internet Explorer under XP (Version 8 is ok) and install Fuse. After that you should be able to connect your Amp with Fuse. For me it works fine, it's not the best solution, but it works.

I hope I could help someone with this post.

Greetings from Germany,
Markus

Hi Marcus,

Thanks for your post here. Based on what you are describing, I would think that your actual OS, being Windows 8 may have some kind of issue with either the Fender® device driver or possibly with another driver that was present on your system prior to the installation of the Fender device driver. This would make sense when you set up a virtual OS and it works through the same hardware. I am curious as to whether or not you went through any or all of the troubleshooting steps in our 'No Amp Connected' troubleshooting document. And if so, did you create any log files? If so, perhaps you could send your log files as described in the support document to us via email so that we could have a look at them.

Thanks very kindly.

Hi

So you cant even be bothered to reply to me but reply to someone who posts later than me. So what do you intend to do about my problem or are you just going to ignore me again? If so how do I get my money back.

Sorry I have just realised that I have not sent you the log files which is the last step in your problem solving document. I have now done so.

Still really pissed off that I have spent so much time on this and to have my post to you ignored completely.

Hello Alan,

I went through all of the troubleshooting steps, but with no effect.
The Fender ASIO driver works with the amp under win 8.1, for ex with AmpliTube 3.
And if the driver for the amp does not work under 8.1, why can I use it in the virtual machine? Windows 8.1 hosts the hardware for the VM and if Windows 8.1 can't manage the hardware proper, it can't host it for the VM in my opinion.
Only FUSE doesn't connect.
I send last week on december, 31st a email with all logfiles to tsl@fender.com.
So you maybe can have a look at it.

Greetings,

Markus

Hi Marcus,

Thanks for your follow up here. So, when you went through the driver uninstall section of the Troubleshooting document, were the generic Windows drivers in the expected locations (HID, Sound, video and game controllers and Universal Serial Bus)? Perhaps you could clarify this item. Also, did you try the new Admin level User Account? If so, was the behavior any different or exactly the same as your primary User Account?

In the meantime, I will review the log files with our lead Software dev. and get back with you. Thanks for your patience as we review this information.

Best Regards,

Alan

Hello Alan,

yes, the drivers were in the expected locations, but with a little difference in the hardware IDs. And yes, I activated the Administrator-account and tried again - with the same behavior as my user account. I also uninstalled any security-software like anti virus and others, but with no effect. It seems to me that FUSE can't access the USB-Device, maybe any issue with .Net or Silverlight?
And, I don't know if it's important, my Windows is a 64-bit installation.

Best regards,

Markus

Dear Ozhogie,

Thanks for your inquiry. Can you please e-mail us directly here at TSL@Fender.com and verify you are the customer that sent in log files on Saturday Jan 3, 2015. There is an e-mail that caused the following alert. MBMcAfeeSaaSReport@mcafee.com when it was received. I suspect this may be you because it is the only e-mailed received on that date that related to Fender® FUSE™. If you think this may be you can you please contact us. Since the name in this e-mail address is different from your screen name I can't be sure and for your privacy I will not type the name in the forum.

When a spam blocker occurs the reason usually is related to the file type the information has been saved as. If you do believe this is your blocked e-mail can you please verify you saved the files as .txt and resend them again or you can call me direct and I will assist you further.
