I have been through the recommended steps three times now, and I am still stuck on the "Please wait" screen of death. :( I have tried the remainder of the posts as well, still nothing. I don't get it, this all worked fine yesterday. . .

On OSX 10.8.4 I finally fixed this problem by reinstalling Silverlight but it took two tries and uninstalling it and reinstalling. I hate Silverlight, it's caused me tons of problems.

Hey there. I have a bit of a different issue.

So I own a Mustang 1 amp. I've had it connected to the PC a while back and now I've reinstalled FUSE, hooked it up and it prompted that it needed a firmware updated. I've complied, I got the confirmation message and afterwards the FUSE software STILL prompted for an update. This time I downloaded the v1.1 and selected the appropriate files, did it again - no help. Also various combinations of turning it off or on, plugging it in or out did anything to change this. Whenever FUSE detects the amp it tells me that its firmware needs to be upgraded.

Hi Democritus,

That is not expected behavior. Fender® FUSE™ should only alert you to a new firmware update once. Then, whether you run it or not, it should not bug you about it after that. Can you please contact us directly, and be sure to include your Forum name and a brief description of the issue. Also, please be sure to include the version of Fender FUSE you are using and if you had upgraded from a previous version (what that was) as well as the operating system you are using. We will follow up with you and go from there. Thanks much.

Best Regards,

Fender Fuse is crap. I've loaded it three time. Tried to open it a dozen times but don't see it. Tried to remove it but have been told it is still runiing but it's not visible. Restart the computer the remove it. Download it again, but doesn't open. Complete crap!

I tried all steps none worked except this:

1) I went to Properties on the shortcut or executable for Fender FUSE.

2) Selected "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" I chose Windows 7 (I have Windows 7 64bit)

3) I selected Run this program as an administrator.

4) Hit OK.

It worked immediately. Please note, I did all the steps previously suggested first. If you do the steps suggested in the PDF make sure you reboot, I noticed after the reboot the amp at least appeared in my Recording tab in the sound settings.

Peace

Hi big willy,

We would be happy to assist if you would like to contact us. It sounds like Fender® FUSE™ has processes running in the background. It is likely something that we can assist you in resolving this by clearing a couple of specific preference files and possibly resetting Internet Explorer.

Best Regards,

I am running windows 7 64
I own the Mustang 3v.2
pc is a i5 3570k quad running at 4.2ghz
16gb ddr3 ram
660gtx vid card

Fender Fuse stopped running on this computer
~ I am stuck on the Loading please wait screen.

I followed the pdf on fixing this issue as follows:
I uninstalled fuse and Silverlight.
(rebooted)
Deleted the 2 extra Silverlight folders recommended in the pdf.

Installed all the latest updates for my operating system. (rebooted)
Reinstalled the Fender Fuse and Silverlight.
Disabled my antivirus.
(rebooted)

Set the properties on the fuse shortcut to run as administrator and windows 7 compatibility mode.
Also tried right click run as admin..I am on the administrative account on this pc.

I am till stuck on the loading please wait screen.

I also made sure that application storage is enabled in silverlight on the application storage tab..and i have the latest version of ie.

( I also shut down the process trees when it fails to boot through task manager in between attempts)

Edit Solved : Performing a reset internet Explorer Fixed the problem for me.

That's some serious overclocking there - the CPU is only rated for 3.4 GHz with 3.6 GHz in short bursts when not all cores are used. Unless you use some serious water- or nitrogen cooling, expect a lot of programs to freeze, even if tests run fine (tests generally only run a few compatible instructions in a loop, not the full set of possible instructions for a particular CPU).
