Alright, I know this has been posted dozens of times (most that come up from searching are a year old). FUSE will NOT work. At all. Nothing that has been suggested/that I have tried will get it past the "Loading. Please wait..." screen. MS Silverlight is fine. The install of FUSE went fine. Windows detects the amp fine. I've uninstalled, reinstalled and restarted everything repeatedly. It's not an administrator/user problem either.
I am using:

Windows 7 64-bit
FUSE 2.4.1 (downloaded from the website)
Mustang I Amp
Newest Silverlight version

I apologize if I seem exasperated, but I've been fiddling for hours. This problem is silly and I know others are having it. Part of the reason I bought the amp was because the software sounded cool. Not seeing the cool part yet. I would greatly appreciate someone else's expertise. Thank you.

Try uninstalling fuse, and the version of silverligt on your computer. Then re-install fuse, letting it install the version of silverlight that comes bundled with it.

Hey Sloan,

Try right-clicking the FUSE icon and selecting Run As Administrator.

If that doesn't work, try installing Silverlight 5 here:

Ever since Windows 98, Internet Explorer has been the basis for the operating system's Explorer windows system. The program is tied in almost directly to the operating system's File Management. Just because you use Firefox or Opera or Chrome doesn't mean you don't have IE still installed. And because it's so well integrated into the OS, a number of programs will use its extensions because they can do that without having to launch the full-blown browser. You can't do that with Firefox, etc.

I don't understand why so many people are having problems with FUSE, because it's always worked flawlessly on my systems: Windows XP SP3, Windows 7 Starter, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, running BOTH of my Mustangs (2 + 5). I run most all of my programs as an administrator and use USB 2.1 compatible connections. Both Mustangs updated to 1.8. And no fizz on the M5 as of yet.

A lot of unanswerable problems here should be directed towards Fender's technical support. This forum only has the well-known fixes and there HAVE been some people who Fender couldn't get FUSE working for, which is weird. Even if this is a small percentage of users, it's still starting to look like a decent-sized problem.

I don't think that IE is "so well"" integrated into the OS!
Anyway, I tried many things:
- With IE
- Suppress IE (not uninstall, but disable in windows functionnalities)
- Download and Re-Install IE9

Do you think that IE9 is OK or may I install IE8?

I'm not sure to understand what you said (and excuse me for my bad english), but it's seems there ara many people in this case.
We are not in 1998, and now many people use one or more OS. I rather if Fender have use an other way to program their soft (Java for example): The portability to others OS would'nt have been a problem...

I searched everywhere for Fender's technical support, but I can't find the link.

I bought a new laptop with Windows 7 OS and I get the same 'Fuse loading... please wait' screen which just sits there. I've gone into the compatability feature and tried adjusting it to the previous Vista configuration, but it still won't allow Fuse to work. I got the laptop to use for recording and not being able to run Fuse is a definite drawback. Has anyone found a solution so far?

Well I've tried the suggestions that were offered in the forum and still can't get Fuse to open, so I just deleted it and will not bother using it. I don't think the problem is with Fender but with Windows 7 because it also won't run Skype or Facebook and likely a lot of other programs that I haven't tried yet. I'd like to shove this thing up Bill Gates butt.

Well then you really do have problems with Windows 7 if those programs won't work. Facebook is just a website. Anyone with IE7 or higher should be able to run it perfectly fine. So there you go. Go b**** at Microsoft. LOL
