 they say all good things come to those who wait. I would like to thank the programmers at Fender for finally getting all their ducks in order. i bought my Mustang I about a year ago and i couldn't get the software to run when i turned the amp on. It would crash and would shut down. i waited for microsoft to send me an expanation of why ,but they never did. I spoke with Loren on the phone one night for about an hour but everything we tried didn't help. So i would check the forum weekly to see if there was any help. I would d/load all the latest updates and try them but still no luck. So now i've just installed the latest and EUREKA for the first time it said "SYNCING WITH AMPLIFIER" and everything is just fine and dandy. good thing i had my acoustic guitar to practice on.   So with enough time and patience everything turned fine.

Hi There, did you by any chance have the problem I am having? I have Windows Home XP, and all I get is the "Loading, Please Wait" screen, then everything crashes!

I haven't called them, but I did get an email from "Loren" with a link to download this thing which I had to use when I launched Fuse. It generated a report or something which I then forwarded back...haven't heard anything since (not even a delivery confirmation).
I don't know much about computers, that's prob my trouble (I used to struggle with the Commodore 64 when I was a kid, lol!)

I run XP Pro and every time I run my registry cleaner, I get the "Loading, Please Wait" (forever) problem. This is what I have to do after every registry cleaning:

  • 1.) Go to Control Panel --> Add, Remove Programs. Uninstall Silverlight.
  • 2.) Reinstall FUSE (I do it right over the existing install, no need to uninstall).
  • 3.) During the installation, the FUSE installer will tell you it needs to install Silverlight - do so.

After installation everything work hunky dory.

You can try this to see if it will work for you, if you haven't already.

Evidentially, there is a registry key having to do with Silverlight that lacks a proper association that gets marked as useless - and therefore, deleted by the reg cleaner.

Whatever, it's a PITA but it works for me.

Commodore 64 eh? I used to use a Commodore SX 64 - a "suitcase" computer back in the 80's for live shows. We would use it as a sequencer to do songs like "Eminence Front" and also with a MIDI keyboard attached to make use of the on-board synth.

Ha Ha, fun days...

Hey,
I'll try that, though I won't hold my breath, as I've uninstalled, reinstalled and god only knows what else loads of times and it still hasn't worked, bah, humbug!
The omnly thing I remember fondly of the 64 was a game called Spy vs. Spy...used to have great fun on that one!

Mark, just to be sure, you do know that the latest Internet Explorer needs to be installed for FUSE to work right?

I use Firefox and now that I remember back (the gray ceels are getting old) that was something I had to do to get FUSE running.

Hi there P90sdude!
(I love the P90 I have on my G6120EC!)...
I have Explorer 8 (on XP home Edition).
I also have all the latest Microsoft Updates (net Passport etc).
A week or so before I bought the amplifier, I had actually reformatted the PC from the original CDs (reinstalled Windows, etc), so effectively it is a brand new computer. I spent the first few days after doing that reinstalling all the "service packs, security updates," etc, bringing the system back from, basically 2007 (when I'd bought it) to 2011. I also reinstalled my Printer, External Hard Drive, etc.
I also reinstalled my Homespun Music lessons (I have Happy Traum's basic guitar theory lessons and Jim Weider's Rockabilly Guitar films.)...I have learned guitar years back (my Dad taught me), but with the acting work (being away from home etc) and raising a couple of children (My lad has autism) I literally hadn't even touched a guitar for the best part of 7/8 years, so although I can still play what I used to play, I really need to learn all over again, as I have forgotten all the scales, notation, etc!
Sorry. I'm rambling.
I found that with my Anti-Virus reinstallation after the blanking off of the PC, Homespun wouldn't start, so I had to put the Firewall in Learning Mode to open Homespun (the lessons), then set it to strict protection with exceptions (User Defined).
This is the very first thing I tried with the FUSE thing, but it still didn't work.
I have installed/removed the FUSE in so many different combinations. I have removed the NET passport things, Silverlight, etc, and just installed them through the fUSE package. I have installed FUSE then removed Net Passport from Add Remove Programs, and reinstalled them from Windows Update before retrying FUSE...these are just a couple of the many combinations i have tried, but FUSE literally doesn't like me... :(

"Silverlight v5". I had all the same problems, went through all the same Un-install, RE-intall stuff. I have XP pro (had to up-grade to "Win SP3" also)... I finally installed "Silverlight 5".. And all worked just fine after that. Never had to re-install FUSE or anything else again.. Hope this helps if you haven`t tried, "Silverlight 5" already.
