Likewise. New Mustang I owner, Mac User (running OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard).

Followed the above advice, current Silverlight for my Mac set-up (as of today 11th Oct 2011) is Silverlight 4 (4.0.60831.0). Installed and got it to open. I think the separate download firmware update for the Mustang was then rejected - I went with the bundled option which worked fine.

Gotta say, disappointingly difficult to get it up and running. Suggest someone mention Silverlight version in the 'Fender Fuse 2.4.0 is available for download' thread?

Silverlight 5 fixed the problem for me as well :-) Thanks for the suggestion, Tabor.

Fuse worked fine on my work laptop but didn't get past the "Loading. Please wait..." on my own laptop. Both are Windows XP with SP3. I had tried Silverlight 4 as bundled and the latest v4 from microsoft, but neither worked.

I use Win XP Professional with Service Pack-3. And I`ve been trying to get "Fuse" to load for 3 days now. I have Explorer 8, and Silverlight. And I still get the message "Loading please wait..." :( . Would anyone have any more suggestions to why mine wont work? I appreciate it, Thanks!

Hey Scott,

Try creating another admin user account to run FUSE from. Most of the issues we see here are related to Silverlight and/or user account permissions.

New user account did not work. That only messed everything up on my computer for the account I`ve had forever. Should be able to use the account I`ve always had, because it IS an Administrator and would already have all the permissions... I am getting ready to install "Silverlight 5" and then Fuse again. I`ll be back and let you all know if that worked for me too.

I finally got Fuse to work!! (Big Smiles) - What I done was, ran Fuse Installation (With-Out) Silverlight on my PC (WIN XP). Then Fuse said it needed it durring installation, and it self-downloaded "Silverlight 4". BUT, it still did not work. So then I installed "Silverlight 5". The Silverlight program name shows, "Silverlight_Developer" (y`all might already know that). - Anyway, I installed "Silverlight 5", AFTER "Fuse" already installed... Then it loaded/opened just like a charm !!

I"m glad it's working for you. Is your previous user account okay now?

Loren - Yes, my previous user account is fine now, it came back when I deleted the new one. My OS has been kinda jerky after that though, same with browsing.

I wanna ask one more thing by the way. Why couldn`t the newest Fuse been made to work with Silverlight v4? It would be nice because, "NetFlix" will not work with Silverlight 5.. I have to uninstall v5 (for Fuse) and install v4 of Silverlight for NetFlix. And then SL-5 again to use "Fuse". Switching Silverlight versions back and forth to use the two.. Just curious, (though I don`t understand why NetFlix wont work with SL-5).

Hey Scott,

Fender FUSE was developed using Silverlight 4. Version 5 is relatively new and is still in beta. I only know of a few users that are using 5. 4 should be working for you.

Hey Loren,

That is strange then. Do you think the few users that are using 5 might be running it on Win XP? For me FUSE just will not work using Silverlight 4, at least so far that seem to be the problem when it will work with Version 5. I`ve uninstalled and reinstalled both several times with the same results not working with Silverlight 4. Do you think it could be because most users might be running Windows Vista, Win 7, or Mac? I have XP professional and had to change it a lot by adding Windows service pack 3 etc. to meet system requirements. Would you know anything else I might need that Win Vista and 7 already has? If it should work with Silverlight 4, I`m stuck. Thanks, I appreciate all your help.
