I have a 2 part question...

I need a bass and guitar amp, and I'm very interested in the Mustang II and the Bronco 40.

First, can one version of FUSE work with both a Mustang and a Bronco amp? Not at the same time of course, but is the application smart enough to recognize the two different amps and bring up the correct functionality/options/presets?

Secondly, If I buy a Bronco 40, can I load Mustang (guitar) presets onto it and maybe get away with buying just one amp, for both bass and guitar? I understand the speaker may be voiced for bass guitar, but should be able to handle my Tele I would think, assuming the electronics are pretty much the same in the Mustang as the Bronco?

The way I understand it, Fuse is exactly the same software for all three amps. Fuse will recognize the amp that you have plugged in and load the appropriate amp models and effects.

I know that the GDec and Mustang presets are not interchangable and I would have to assume that the Bronco presets are also not interchangable. Probably because of the differences in amp models and effects across the three amps.

What a sweet feature it would be to access the different models of the other amps and use all the presets!!!!

Hi, what you're saying makes sense. I ended up getting a Mustang II to start with, for my Tele. When I get some time on the weekend I'll try loading some Bronco 40 presets into it just for fun. But since the controls aren't exactly the same, I expect it won't work. Oh well, I'll keep my Rumble bass amp for now!

Don't waste your time trying to load Bronco presets into a Mustang or vice versa. You can't. With the Mustang connected, you won't even be able to see any Bronco presets in your Media Library.

The same version of FUSE supports all amps though. You can unplug your Mustang and plug in a Bronco or G-DEC 3 and FUSE will recognize the amps right away and change it's behavior/appearance accordingly.
