Correct, as far as I know. If you launch Fuse with no amp connected, you won't see any presets, band tracks, etc.

I just tried it and it works. It asks you to select the type of amp you have (Mustang, GDec, or Bronco) or connect your amp. The software works normally. All of my saved presets were available and I could edit and do whatever I wanted to them.

Fuse should load whether the amp is connected or not...

Wait, Fuse will load everything, even without the amp connected? Hmm...Well, I guess I will have to chalk up my experience to another example of Fuse's lack of compatibility with Mac OS X Lion. :(

If the amp isn't connected you won't see the presets that are on the amp. You will though see any presets or backing tracks that you have downloaded and stored on the computer.

The original poster though didn't seem to be asking about whether the presets show but rather will Fuse start up without the amp connect and YES it will. You do NOT have to have the amp connect to start up Fuse and download or create and edit presets...
