I downloaded a preset from the Fender Community, a Boston one, and trying to add a Boston Backing Track MP3 as a Band Track to the Boston Preset, how do you actually do this, I added the band track to my own sd card ad it the fuse software does not reconize it..to assign to the a preset..

How do you do this? much like the SD cards I bought from Hal Lenoard is what I am looking to do or how the gdec does it..

thank you

I do this on the G-DEC itself rather than Fuse:

1) Turn to select the preset to which you want to add a band track

2) Click the third button which is under "BAND"

3) Turn the dial to select the sound file format, if necessary

4) Push the fourth button which is under "FILE"

5) Turn the dial to select your band track

6) Push the "Save" button which should be lit up in red

Band tracks can be either on the amp itself or on the sd-card.

Thanks

Can you keep the preset on the SD card also? also do you have to replace a preset on the Gdec in order to add your own or a new one? I would hate to lose the ones on the gedec just to add another one

You [i]can[i]save presets to the sd card, but can't load them from the sd card. Don't ask me why. The sd card is mainly for storing band tracks or phrases. You can do a backup of all the presets on the amp so you don't lose the one's that it came with, then just re-load one or all from the backup set. Try this...Go through all the presets and note which ones you hate or can live with out and use those slots to put your own in.

Yes, you can import from the card, but the preset is copied to your amp. In response to the original poster's question, you have a limit of 100 presets. If you want to add a preset, you need to replace one of the originals. But, out of the original 100 there must be a few that you don't like (four of them are just metronomes). Just backup your original presets in case you decide to restore one of them.

Jsteele is correct. You can import a Preset from to SD card to 1 of the 100 Preset slots by using the import function in the Utility menu.

Follow his instructions to assign a certain Band Track to a Preset.

that's not what I want to do i want to make my own SD Card like the ones you buy for them, like the Hard rock one, you can import them and not have to save to a Preset at all..you just import and leave it at that..

i want to make my own card is all of the songs I want..

Hi michaelawalker,

I assume you are talking about the Hal Leonard series SD cards for the Fender G-DEC 3s? In that case, you can certainly save Presets and their associated Band Tracks to an SD card. But as has been stated here, you will have to import the Preset to a location on your amp, thus overwriting an existing one. And you will have to have the SD card in the amp when using those Presets.

As an alternative, you can simply save the Presets you like to your amp and load as many Band Tracks to your SD card (Audio folder) as you like and then use Quick Access to access and play back your Band Tracks. Please let us know if we can assist further.
