I have loaded Fuse and its working fine.

Is there any reason to load Amplitube? Seems like some of the same stuff but without the GDEC connectivity.

Thanks!

Amplitube is completely seperate software that has nothing to do with the Mustang or GDEC amps. It's a cool bit of software that, yes, pretty much does what your amp allready does. Which is give you a selection of amp models & effects to play with. It just does it as stand alone software on the computer rather than through the amp.

It's pretty cool that they bundle it with the amps, but I'm not sure why they do that. Because, as far as I know, you can't use the GDEC or Mustang as an input device for Amplitube. You would need some other compatible interface. And why would you go out and buy something extra when you can record great sounding tones directly from your amp?

So yeah, I've actually loaded it and played around with it some when I first got it. But I honestly couldn't find the benefit using it as opposed to just using my Mustang III to record.

Amplitude isn't meant to work with or duplicate Fuse. They are different types of programmes that work in very different ways, (even though there may be some overlap in the amp tones that they both try to emulate).

The great advantage of Amplitude is that you can use it as a 'plug-in' inside a software recording programme - Sonar, Cubase etc, etc.

This means that you can record your guitar 'clean', and then try that recording with a whole raft of different tones by playing it back through the plug-in, before you commit to it. With the full version of Amplitude there are heaps of options for amps and effects, but even the 'lite' version that comes with the Mustang amps has some good stuff in it.

In contrast, if you record through Fuse you have to decide on/be happy with the tone before you record, as it's part of the sound that gets recorded.
