So I'm new to fuse and I pretty much have the hang of it. It's just that whenever I connect my Mustang I to my Mac it says 'No Amplifier Connected" on Fuse. I double checked to see if the USB Cable was working. I went to About this mac/ More Info/ USB and it clearly said Fender MUSTANG 1 Amplifier was connected. So why isn't Fuse saying its connected.

Thanks in Advance,

Hey xPain,

Try these two things to get Fender FUSE to recognize your amp.

1. Go to http://www.silverlight.net/downloads and download the Silverlight 4 Runtime installer. Install it.

If that doesn't fix the problem:

2. Reinstall Fender FUSE and restart your computer.

I hope that helps.

have installed Silver point 4.0 and just installed Fuse 2.3 and restarted and the software still does not show amp connected.

I have turned amp on and off and disconnected and reconnected USB all to no avail.

What do you do now?

I am experiencing a similar problem with Mac OSX 10.6.8. Initially my Mustang I was recognized, but after installing a firmware update, FUSE gives me a "No Amplifier Connected" message.

I have reinstalled Silverlight 5.0.61118.0 and FUSE 2.6.0 with the amp drivers and the problem persists.

Thank you, please advise.

Hey lcagilmore,

You're most like experiencing a driver related problem.

Go to System>Library>Extensions and find the 6 or so Fender amp drivers and trash them. Empty the trash. Run the FUSE installer again and restart. FUSE should now see the amp.

Hi lcagilmore,

I wanted to touch base and see if our advice regarding the removal of drivers and re-install of Fender FUSE was successful for you? Thanks.

Best Regards,

Hi
I just bought myself a Macbook Air. I installed latest Fuse version 2.6.0 and latest MS silverlight to the new Mac. I have the same "No amplifier connected" problem. My G-Dec 3 works like a charm with my Win7 and WinXP machines.

I've tried removing Fuse, Silverlight, Fuse drivers in different combos, nothing seems to work. I tried browsing through all related issues from the forum. I also tried installing Fuse 2.3.0, didn't work either.

Thanks in advance.

Hi safonjus,

The issue you are describing could be one of several things. Can you please send an email in with your Forum name, real name and include the text from your post here? Then I can send some specific information to you to help get the connection issue sorted out. Please include the version of Mac OS X you are on. Thanks.

I just posted this in a similar post:

Just had the same problem (13" Unibody/ Mustang I.)
Software updated ok, then had "no amp." After trying a few things, I closed Fuse; turned off the amp; disconnected the USB from the computer & reconnected it; turned the amp on, and reopened Fuse. FINALLY it saw the amp.

Sometimes when new software is installed for peripherals, the software doesn't recognize them until they are physically disconnected & reconnected. I've had some (from the company I work for) where, on PC's, you have to reboot the computer with the cable connected, so it will give first priority to that driver over internal ports and any other which have been used on that USB port before.

Hi stinkybisquit,

Thanks for reporting this. Are you using the older Fender FUSE version 2.6.0 or the updated version 2.6.0.25 (currently on the Fender FUSE Community site link)? With the Fender Mustang I/II, the newer version 2.6.0.25 build is required due to a specific compatibility issue. Thanks again.
