I bought a Mustang 3 amp a few months ago and today thought i'd do some updating to the amp settings that came with the amp. I was lead to believe that I could get on line somewhere (thought it was Fuse but apparently not) and access and download to my amp some different amp settings.

So I loaded in Fuse software but all I can do on that is adjust the settings that are already in the amp.

What the heck am I doing wrong? Any help is appreciated! :D

I think what you are talking about is downloading and installing new amp PRESETS.

The Fuse software will allow you to connect directly to an online library of presets that you can download and install on your amp.

You can also do the download without Fuse, and then use Fuse afterwards to get the new presets onto the amp. At the top of this forum page, mouse over the community tab on the top bar and then select Fender Fuse sign in/register from the drop down menu. It will take you to a page where you can register and then access the preset library. Make sure you are downloading MUSTANG presets -select at top right of the Fuse home page - the GDEC ones won't work on your amp.

Put the downloaded presets in your Documents/Fender/Fuse/Presets folder on your computer, and then they will show up in Fuse on the media library page if you select 'computer' as the file source. To get a preset from this page onto your amp, right-click on the preset name in Fuse and then select 'save to amp' when the menu appears. (Be aware that this will OVERWRITE the existing preset in the slot you choose on the amp).

You can download and store as many presets as you want on your computer - the files are very small - and then using Fuse, swap them on and off your amp as you please.

If you get lost with all that swapping around and want your amp back the way it was when you bought it, just hold down the EXIT button when you turn the amp on, and it will go back to all the original factory presets.

OK thanks for that info. But I can't believe how hard Fender made it to even find this stuff. I'm not even sure I will find it again tomorrow.

Anyway, so I gfound the presets, but is it not possible to HEAR them in a preview before I download them??? Seems crazy that I can't !

Everything you need as far as manuals, downloads, etc. Can be found at http://fuse.fender.com. There you'll find FAQ's and support links as well.
