Can't seem to find pressets for Michael Bloomfield or Roy Buchanan. Anyone want to give it a shot. I wish Fender would have thought of two of the most influential guitarists ever.

I don't understand why folks expect Fender to create presets of different players, the reason being is that a lot of time players like Bloomfield and Buchanan used different amps at different times.

I never saw Bloomfield live, but I saw Buchanan live several times.

One time he played thru a Marshall halfstack like in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wp4BlGXwSew, and I sawhim play thru a Fender Twin, cranked to 10, with the amp facing away from the crowd http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OY2Z0juP-ag, plus you really need to play a Tele to get that tone.

BTW, it was Roy who showed me how to do volume swells using the volume knob on my Strat, like in this videohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puqPD0L2Vjo&feature=related.

Legends have been built on working off the tone of a heavy influence. Robin Ford took Bloomfields tone somewhare else. Jim Campilongo copped Buchanan's tone on certain trax. I understand "amp modeling" is what it is but, some gratifying tone has come from folks trying to emulate their hero's. I play a Tele ,it's not a '53 like Buch's but a 52 reissue was as close as i could come.........He used to throw treb, bass, mid, vol to the max and yes, turn his amp around. Bloomer's tone being of the Les Paul Marshal variety in part of his career and, a Tele when playing with Butterfield, would be tricky but some interesting and fun results can be achieved from trying! I mean, experimentation, isen't that what it's all about ? 8)
