Hi gang, I recently bought a Mustang 1 and I'm playing an Epiphone Les Paul. Ace Frehley is the entire reason I picked up a guitar 20 years ago, and I was wondering if anyone has been able to come close to reproducing his sound on the M1? Thanks in advance.

Go with a British 70s model with the bass at 4, mids at 6 and treble at 7, and a little chorus and reverb. That should get you started. :)

I'm a fan. Saw him play live with KISS in 1978-79 at the L.A. Forum. Cheap Trick opened for them. I always thought his was the best of the solo albums.

Agree completely on the solo album. I unfortunatley never got to see him with KISS, but I did catch him on the Frehley's Comet tour when it came through this area. Actually hung out by the backstage door with about 30 other fans and got his autograph.

+1 on his solo album. "Shock Me" is one of my favorite KISS songs as well.

My favorite song off that album is "New York Groove."
