My Gdec30 is awaiting a backordered control panel at the repair shop.

I bought a fender mustang 1 as a backup as it was cheaper to buy a small amp then rent one.

Can you tell me if there is a way to save the 57 deluxe setting on the mustang 1 and put it in my presets for the gdec30? I started to write down some of the individual settings but noticed that some include delay stereo tape, feedback, flutter, and I don't remember seeing that on the fender fuse Gdec30 software

Thanks
Balllina

I don't believe that the GDEC amps can read/load Mustang presets, or vice versa.

In theory you could try applying the main Mustang 57 DeLuxe settings to the controls on the GDEC but, as you have already found, that relies on the GDEC having all the same effects etc available as the Mustang, and even if it did then the final tone is highly unlikely to be the same, bearing in mind the different general design of the two amps, different enclosures and speakers etc.

I recall that someone on this forum has tried to reproduce the GDEC Jeff Beck presets on a Mustang by copying the settings for the main variables that make up the presets, but having downloaded and tried them myself, I'm not sure they actually translate well from one amp to the other, for the reasons outlined above.

I had a feeling that would be the answer. I didn't realize it at the time but the mustang 1 does not have a SD card slot. I was going for a low price to hold me over until I get my gdec amp. It has been 3 weeks now. Fender evidently has a long backorder to fill for the Gdec.

Thanks

In general, how would you compare the Mustang 1 sound to your Gdec sound?

Gdec30 – Great sound, 100 presets. I have changed some of the presets to match to the songs I play. Every change has to be done through the software. The SD card – I have several mp3’s on the SD card that I can use for band tracks. I like to play the band when playing a song. The band tracks that I have loaded are the original music – like pretty woman, wild thing, etc. Then I practice trying to match tone and speed.

Mustang 1 - I like the ability to change the gain, treble or bass without using the fenderfuse software interface. I can save my dial changes to a new preset. The mustang 1 does not have a slot for an sd card. You can use a portable cd player but that is a hassle. I have not bothered to try that as I have found that the presets are fairly good. I went for a low cost amp and I’m pleased with it. I bought into the warm tube sound even though I cannot tell the difference between warm tube and solid state mustang 1. There are only so many presets that you can save on the amp. I have not looked into how many presets you can save on fenderfuse. For $100 it is a nice sounding amp.
