I have called tech support and they said they would get back with me but that has not happened. I have done two resets to the amp.

I did not have any problems in updating fenderfuse until 208 release so I tried the full install and all I got was a fenderfuse menu with a black screen. After deleting all fenderfuse items in the laptop I was able to install fender fuse 222 and it started working.

Now my problem is that every time I try to connect the amp to the laptop fender fuse dies, crashes, stops working.

Now I took another log that I found in fender fuse - I want to know if you feel this problem is on my end or something wrong on your end.

I spent some time going through the computer and came across this reason for fenderfuse
crashing when I attached the amp to the fender fuse software. What does this blocking action do? How can I stop it? Something is being read inside the amp as you can see the drive e is referenced on the bottom.

2011-06-28 21:18:36.6066 Fender.Fuse.MicroSocketServer Socket exception in main loop. System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: A blocking operation was interrupted by a call to WSACancelBlockingCall
at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.Accept()
at System.Net.Sockets.TcpListener.AcceptTcpClient()

I'm not sure what all this means but one of your techs might know what is all about.
do.

What firmware is on your G-DEC 3? It should be 1.04. Try updating that via SD card, then try connecting to FUSE again (if you haven't).

Good luck!

Well, I am worse off now - amp does not work. I put gdec3_1.-4 UPD and then I tried
gdec3_V1_04 UPD and then a gdec3_v1_04 343 kb on the sd card.

I saw update found, version 1.04 Gdec3 press to start update (amp)
erasing flash sectors, programming image, verifying image, error in proramming

Application invalid, load update file from computer and press exit to reboot.

Amp does not work at all - Keeps showing application invlaid load update file from computer and press exit to reboot..

I took these files off your website that has software downloads for Gdec3

Presets are no longer showing on the sd card.

All I see now is a screen saying application invalid (amp) load\update file from computer and press exit to reboot.

The only good thing I see is fenderfuse doesn't crash when I have the amp attached. Fender fuse states the amp is not connected....

This has been a trying problem for me.

Sorry to hear that the firmware didn't work. There have been instances where a corrupt download caused what you are experiencing. May I suggest using a different computer to download & transfer the firmware update to your SD card in the root directory, and trying the update again? That usually has worked. If it doesn't, give Loren a call at 480-596-7195.

Good luck!

Called tech support again. My amp stated error processing after going through the 1.4
firmware update. Tech said they have seen this twice before and felt I had a bad board.
The amp is now at the authorized fender repair shop - good thing fender has a 5 year warranty. I only have had this amp for one year.

I do remember the light flickering on the start stop button with a slight crackle but then that sound stopped after two days. This has been a frustration as I had to deal with viruses on my laptop before I could determine what was wrong with the amp

Going to Sam Ash today to buy a small backup amp as to rent a amp is almost as much as
buying a small amp.
