I've been thinking about doing one. Checking out the internets, Ness uses a Bassman head through a Marshal 4X12. He uses a Boss overdrive pedal too.

Hi Guys,

I had to chime in and say that I too am a big Social D fan from way back as well. I don't believe we have any Presets from them at this point. But hopefully in the future we will be able to add some. In the mean time, I located one Preset that you all may want to check out. https://fuse.fender.com/presets.php/tit ... e/order-up.

Cheers,

Thanks guys! So far i use preset 96(80s stack) and just backed off the overdrive a little. It works well with my Gretsch and Tele but not so good with my Les Paul Jr. I love the Mustang III but its a little over my head. I mainly play my Martin and just dive in. My buddy is the one who set up that preset and we named it Socail D of course. Basicly it has as much overdrive I can can get but still ring out open chords. I always noticed that both Mike Ness and Johny 2 bags play a lot of open chords and still rock out. I just saw them again last Sat in NJ.

Hey usmc0231,

Thanks for following up. That's very cool that you saw them last week! It has been a long time since I've seen them. But there are a lot of bands out there that owe a lot to Social D.
How was the show?

Cheers,

I've uploaded three. I just got my amp today and I need to learn how to name them. I use a goldtop with Seymour Duncan P90's the same model of pickups Ness uses. The 2nd machine gun blues has more bite to it, but I prefer the other one cause it's as close to the setup he uses. I don't know if we can get a 67 bassman on fuse. I don't see one.

Thanks for the work on this. I will have to check it out. I just picked up a new Fender Bluse jr vos amp and it rules!!!!!. I will still play with the mustang but the Blues Jr is just so easy.

Responding to a two year post.

I haven't found a close social distortion tone on fuse without the help of external overdrive pedals. Precisely a Wampler Black 65 Overdrive pedal, a Boss Super Overdrive pedal and a Boss NS-2 noise suppressor. The fuse Boss super overdrive copy isn't as good as the real thing. I've tried all the fuse blackface and bassman style amps with these pedals and can get close but I've found using the Marshall 80's amp with the G12 cab is the best with this pedals setup.
