Hi,

when I launch Fender Fuse then access to the Media Library presets list, the presets names are not shown properly. some have the right name, most of them are shown with the name 'new preset'

if I close the Fender Fuse software and launch it again, it works now... all preset names are the correct ones.

this happen either if I set the amp ON before or after launching Fuse.

any explanation ?

Thank you in advance

I have exactly same bug with my FUSE, OS Windows 7 Home Premium.

I have been in contact with Fender staff but they have been unable to solve problem. Last word from them was that I was the only one in the world to have this problem, but it now seems so that there is others, too.

Hopefully there'll be a solution. Let's see if software 2.2.2 will solve it but I am not too confident since they were unable to reproduce this bug in the lab. Nice...

EDIT: Just installed the latest 2.2.2 Software + the bundled firmware. Bug remains. So annoying!

This happens to me IF I add or access a preset file in the ...\Fender\FUSE\Presets directory via Windows Explorer on Win XP Pro while FUSE is running.

This leads me to believe that a software such as an virus scanner could be at the root of the phenomenon.

I don't use an active virus scanner (or any other programs such as Spybot Search and Destroy Tea Timer) on my computer since it interferes with audio recording using my DAW. Instead, I use a manual virus scanner (actually 2 -ClamWin and McAfee Stinger) to manually scan all files that I D/L as well as email attachments. That's how I know when it happens.

Hi Guys,

For anyone here who is seeing this behavior with the Preset data in Fender FUSE, can you email us at the address below, and we will send a short list of requested information regarding your system. Basically, Fender FUSE should not be doing this. There may be some unique reason that Fender FUSE is not seeing the updated Preset data.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Best Regards,

Hi,
Chris from Sweden here.
Got my Mustang I yesterday, updated it to firmware 2.2.2.
and I'm having the same problem as you other guys with the preset names in the Media Library.
I'm on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bits.
If I restart FUSE I can see the presets correct name though.
Cheers / Chris

Hi guitarxman,

We are still testing here, and trying to recreate a couple of different reported display issues with Preset titles. Can you clarify for me the exact steps you take when you see this issue? For example, is it only when you are in the Media Library and use Add to Library, etc.? Thanks very much.

Best Regards,

Hi Allan,

this is very basic indeed :

-when the PC is up and running
-set the amp on
-launch FUSE ... is syncing with the Amp
-press button "Media Library"
=> the preset list is wrong (indicates new presets)

-close FUSE

-launch FUSE ... is syncing with the Amp
-press button "Media Library"
=> the preset list is now correct

That's it

Best Regards
Christian

It really does not. What a disappointment, again! So, Fender have you raised your hands up with this?

Hey, guitarxman and crillev and the others with this issue:

Somebody suggested it is the anti-virus program. Which one are you guys using? (mine is Microsoft essentials).

Hey Guys,

Unfortunately, we've been unable to reproduce this issue on any of our systems here in the TSL.

A few users have had success with making a small change, such as turning the volume knob one click, then turning it back to starting point, to the affected preset. The point is to get the Save button to light up without saving any changes to the Preset. Then you would just save the Preset.

This has been known to work for a few of our users as a temporary workaround until we can get a better look at this particular issue.
