In FUSE, there are four empty slots (boxes?) on the left of the amp (pre-amp) and four empty slots (boxes?) on the right of the amp.

To add an effect or stomp simply left mouse click in one of the boxes and a drop down list will ask which "type" of effect you want to add. Placing an efx to the left of the amp is pre and placing an efx to the right is post.

Yes, you can only add ONE each of the four types of effects 1. Stomp, 1, MOD, 1 Delay, 1 Reverb.

So while you have several "stomp" types, only ONE of those will load. Same thing for MOD, Delay and Rev.

If your amp has effects in/outs you can add others. I am still not sure where in the signal chain they show up - pre?Post? before the Fender efx, after the Fender effect.

Anyone from Fender wish to inlighten us??????

You're program seems to be messing up.you can have a DLY,a REV,a MOD,and a STOMP all at the same time but you cant have, for example,2 STOMPS.

Hope this helps.

Hard to guess based on what you've said, but you are supposed to be able to do this. Are you talking about FUSE, or on the amp itself?

I'm not from Fender, but that never stopped me before! If you put an effect in the effects loop, it will be applied after all the Mustang's modeling and effects, including as best I can tell the cab sim too (running my MIII's effects out to another amp, I can hear the difference when I switch cab sims).

I haven't tried adding devices from the amp (Mustang III.) In Fuse, I can only get one pedal at a time on the pre/left side.

EDIT:
I'd like to have a compressor and a distortion box before the amp.

Both the compressor AND the Distortion/OD are in the drop down listing for STOMP. Therefore you only get to use one (either pre or post - not both). Refer back to my original post.

One each of "types".
