I would like to be able to remove or edit the presets I have uploaded to the FUSE community.

Another thing that would be great, although outside of FUSE, is to add MIDI capability or something else to the amps that enables you to store multiple presets in a pedalboard (for example Behringer FCB1010 or something similar-looking). This would greatly enhance the live capabilities of the higher end Mustang models. To use the 2- and 4 button footswitch together works i guess but it would be much sweeter with a real pedal board with banks and a certain amount of presets for each bank.

EDIT: An external EQ would also be nice to have in order to get, for example, a mid boost for solos and such.

Hey everyone !

First of all thanks for that amazing and very useful amp which is the Mustang I !

I agree with everyone who wishes to use for example a chorus and flanger at the same time. It's a shame not to be able to do so :|

It would be cool for all kind of users (but i'm thinking of the metal fans out there especially  )
to have an effect such as the Morpheus Droptune on fuse !! You know ? it allows you to keep your guitar in the same tuning but your sound is detuned !!

For those who don't know :
http://www.morpheusefx.com/droptune.php

I am sure a LOT of users would like that \m/

Take care everyone !

+1 on number 14

Each pre amp and post amp "pedal" slot should be able to incorporate and available pedal option. Would love to stack an overdrive and distortion/Fuzz pedal

Midi Control. Imagine being able to use an FCB1010 to switch patches or volume levels, or vary the mix parameters on the fly. Folks are now making specialized rom chips so you don't have to program it any more.

If not midi control then just keyboard commands would work too although more limited functions. change patches, turn individual effects on an off. Easy to translate keyboard to midi. Think of it 5 patches each bank and each with five separate effects to turn on and off. lots of banks. Virtually unlimited switching.

Hi all,

This is a great topic. Thanks to the OP!

First, I'd LOVE to be able to bypass the modeling, while nonetheless using the Mustang to record in say Garageband (on Mac or Ipad) or Logic, via USB (i.e. with a *genuinely* clean/uncolored signal).

Second, in accord with an earlier suggestion, I'd LOVE it if Fender Fuse were such that it could be used as a VST (or "Audio Unit Effect").

In other words, putting these two wishes together, what I crave, is the ability to record into, say Garageband and Logic, clean, while applying Fuse presets *from within* GB or L onto the clean recording.

The combination of these two features would mean we could record, while hearing our presets, but would not need to re-cut the entire track in order to change the sound, i.e., in order to use another preset on the track, say when it comes time to mix down.

As it stands now, since I can't do this, I have to use an Apogee Gio, which records clean, and then use Garageband/Logic/Amplitube sounds, forgoing my beloved Fender Fuse presets altogether. I'd venture to say most people who record guitar via usb do it this way now, with the use of another interface.

But if Fender Fuse could pull off what I'm proposing (and I'm aware of no reason why they couldn't, with a software and/or firmware update), I think even more people would be freaking over the Fuse products -- Mustang and now Bronco (!) amps -- since we would no longer need to additionally--or, worse for Fender, *instead*--buy a clean usb interface + an AU/VST.

(Then people like me would still use Amplitube Fender to add even more versatility to the sound, e.g., after the recording of the track.)

Putting all this another way, as it stands now there is no way to record with the Mustang and get the pure/actual Amplitube Fender sounds, as the latter will always be colored by the modeling on the amp (yes, even with clean presets). If one wants the actual amplitude Fender sounds, we are forced to *instead* use another company's interface, leaving Fender's Mustang unplugged and our beloved presets behind. And if we could put our Fuse sounds on post-recording, and have the option to change them later, without recutting the track, it would be glorious! Hence, as far as I can tell, Fender has much to gain by what I'm suggesting.

Kay, Thanks for listening!

Excellent topic...Fuse & Mustang make a great combo...and yet...improvements are needed:

There have been requests for an "acoustic" amp model. There are several presets that do a nice job with several existing amp models. Now, a model of the real Acoustic amplifier would be intersting. Also, how about a model of an Ampeg amplifer? I really enjoyed my Gemini amp. I wonder what we could do with a model of the SVT?

I would like a preset that is completely model-free...

The user-interface needs work...and can probably be done without the leaps in technology that many of the requests are begging for. Simple things like enabling right-click options and tool-tips would really help speed things along when changing models.

I like the other suggestions of being able to highlight a control and use the cursor keys or a numerical imput to change a value...I spend a lot of time overshooting where I want to be...or simply finding the right orientation to swing the mouse to make the change I want...even more critical if I am working on the notebook and don't have a mouse handy!

The Media Library is a good concept, but probably could use a thread of its own to track possible improvements. A drag-and-drop interface would make it easier to manipulate what is on the amp instead of the save/import motif we have now (which direction am I going? What am I about to overwrite?).

There are lots of requests to be able to manage the preset lists more effectively. Until there is a massive overhaul of the UI and other details, how difficult can it be to export the whole table to a spreadsheet format so we can sort/search/print more easily?

And...yes...more flexibility for effects...Kudos to the first reply to bring up the MXR Phase 90! Their 117 Flanger is also legendary.

Did anyone mention better documentation?

Adding my vote for MIDI control of FUSE.

The effects are already laid out smartly, in that they each have the same number of controls. I think, for example, setting it up so that you could map controls to effect slot 2 and no matter what actual effect was in the slot or if it was pre or post amp the controls would work. I'd throw in a MIDI control to swap the effect position from pre to post and vice versa. MIDI control to move the effects around to change their order and cycle through the effect options would be nice as well.

It's too bad fender didn't implement USB MIDI to begin with on the Mustang, otherwise we could "roll our own" controllers without having to use FUSE!

Great thread – really hope that Fender implements some of these in their next update.

#1 below – using the mouse to rearrange presets on the amp (drag and drop) – would be my biggest request. The way you have to save over presets is a total pain.

Allow a pause feature on band tracks/backing tracks instead of starting over at the beginning of the track when you press stop (if using GDec)

Add more fields in the preset media library screen. What amp is being used? What effects are being used? When was the preset added to the library?

Ability to adjust quick access presets within Fuse (if using GDec).

Preset Folders... Preset Folders.... Preset Folders.

Even in Wondoze it only need the use of built-in features to allow access to presets ANYWHERE on one's PC.

Ability to move rack effects before or after the effects loop. If it can't be customized, simply have delay/reverb after the effects loop.

Loren said this might be addressed in future firmware releases in viewtopic.php?f=27&t=61706

My number one wish is a new manual! This forum collectively knows more about the operation of the G-Decs and Fuse than anyone. Here is my suggestion:
Fender puts up a 'Wikipedia' style page and everyone contributes! Corrections can be made. Simple instructions and explanations would be the end result. And, I bet it would be so complete!

Thanks for the great ideas everyone.

I would like to have a relative volume meter. If it were by percentage, 100% would represent the highest possible output level the amp can produce (assume master volume on the amp is a constant and actual volume is being determined by the preset). When working on a preset, you would know how it compares volume-wise with other presets, allowing you to adjust it without a lot of trial and error.

Hi, I would like a slider control when playing band tracks so I can jump to any part I wish.
A-B repeat would aslo be great.
As a U2 fan I would love to able to use up to three delays even just in fuse.
Presets opening in a tree and having drag and drop reordering.
Software looper with ability to save file would be awsome.

Thanks for the Mustangs Fender, wish these had been around when I was 16

This is a great list, but the highest priority for me is preset management. I'm creating banks of certain presets and it's way too cumbersome to use the save feature in fuse. I would like to arrange the presets like I want then restore to the computer. A "preset manager" added to the utility menu.
