Thanks Loren, I think the chaps have come up with some great suggestions to help make what is an already great package even better, hopefully we'll see some of these things creep in to future versions!

Hi Loren

Thank you for your effort, I really look forward to the next Fuse and Amp-Firmware Version. Maybe I then can stop developing HorseTamer, because all functionality is integrated in Fuse  !

For me, the big wishes are:
- Easy and fast Preset arranging and up-/downloading
- Less limited footswitch use, programmable through the FUSE-Software, including combination of 4- and 2-button footswitch (as mmcwill stated with preset banks, or just assign what you want to a button (preset, up/down, effects) ... you name it.
- an Software API provided by Fuse to access the amps functionality from a 3rd-party-program. Maybe just to develop a little toolbox with functions that FUSE will not provide. I'm just brain-storming

Cheers

The acoustic amp model is a nice idea but I'd like to add a "Pie In The Sky"part to the amp itself. In order to get the most out of an acoustic guitar's sound, the amp will need a tweeter. Wouldn't it be cool if the tweeter only came on for the acoustic amp model and off for the regular amp models - or until you decide to get creative and turn it on anyway. The only catch is that in order for this to happen, the tweeter might have to have its own power amp... maybe... I can imagine another way to do it but still, it will add to the cost. The acoustic model will also have to have a preset eq to flatten out the speaker's frequency response. It could be done.

Honestly, the only thing missing on the M1/2 for me is the ability to access more than just two presets at a time with the foot switch. I know that this is part of what differentiates the M1/2 from the more expensive models but, if Fender could design a USB connected pedal board with an expression pedal, every amp model could be accessed on all the Mustangs. If you think about it, even the four button footswitch is fairly limited and just imagine the possibilities with an expression pedal. It would be another product for Fender to sell that would dramatically improve all of the Mustang amps' flexibility. Fender could outgun and outclass Peavey's Vyper/Sanpera products. This I would be first in line for!

Before my remarks, first I want to say "thanks" for a great amp and a valuable piece of software....But Fender has asked for feedback, and is doing a good job of responsing with firmware updates already....

I second several suggestions, some for the amp firmware, some for FUSE, and add some more...especially:

For the amp (mine is an MIII)

1) An acoustic model would greatly increase the versatility of my amp.

2) Ability to use more than one stompbox at a time. ditto the mod effects ... It would be nice to use pitch shifter AND chorus or flanger at the same time..... Or overdrive and compression, Fuzz and Auto Wah, etc.

3) Simple Chorus, like the MXR-90, added either before or after preamp.

4) I have already mentioned a parametric EQ,

5) Perhaps a selectable and adjustable BOOST in the effects loop for added punch for solos?

6) additional flexibility for footswitches, when using both the 2 and 4 button. Perhaps adding a 4th & 5th Quick preset? Or additional functions. Instead of having the utility section define the 2 button switches as Stomp & Mod, Stomp & Delay, Mod & Delay, Mod & Reverb, etc., Just have a screen that allows you to define Button#1=_______ with a list to choose from, and Button#2=________, etc. The same could be done with one of the three modes of the 4 button switch.

For FUSE:

1) The adjustment of the control knobs in FUSE is clunky. Not easy to gain fine control over them...perhaps one could hover over a knob and use left/right mouse buttons to increase/decrease settings? or perhaps click to highlight a knob and use the control wheel on the mouse to make adjustments? Needs a digital parameter value display.

2) When saving, add a dialog box that confirms WHERE the preset is being saved, i.e. computer file, amp preset position, etc.

3) When changing presets, have a flash text over the picture of the amp that identifies the preset number and name for a few seconds. Or perhaps a banner panel on top that stays visible. This would be really nice if I have the computer hooked up and sitting on a small stand or on the floor. Then I could actually read what preset I am usng without a magnifying glass.

4) Pictures of stomp boxes and pedals are nice, but the print on them needs to be made larger so they can be seen more easily. Color coding is a nice option, since it is a nice visual cue to which effect you have dialed in. Please keep it.

5) have a larger on/off indicator on the pedals that can be seen from a few feet away. The little tiny LED sized indicator is hard to see even close up.

6) absolutely... drag and drop style preset reorganization. This is probably the most valuable suggestion. Add a reorganization screen with two columns. Have the left side list all available presets on the computer/web/amp, and the right column list the prests stored on the amp. Drag and drop or click-to-add with auto shuffle down, with move-up/move-down buttons would make this an awesome program.

7) Clean up the display of available presets, also called the "Media Library." It is confusing and not intuitive.

Great stuff, i really hope fender picks up on this stuff , because i bet Peavey is reading this, , i have the peavey vyper 75 w, i didn't like the way it interfaced with the computer. In this day and age. The people speak , the customer is always right. I replaced it with my new Mustang IV , I always loved Fender , it was what i first learned on, the sound, the quality, user friendly, keeping customers happy. Keep adding to the list, it can only get better.

Can't you use it with a netbook now? All you need is a USB port.

FUSE doesn't like the screen format (non-standard) on netbooks.

I haven't read the previous suggestions, so I hope this isn't a repeat, but I would like to be able to control the recording level at the amp. As in, when I'm using Garageband, I wish Fuse/Mustang amp would let me increase or decrease the signal going into Garageband. Otherwise, I find my Mustang III amp to be incredibly good. :D

But other than that, does it work and is it useable?

Fender '57 Twin
Fender Super Reverb
Fender Vibrolux and Vibroverb models

A way to allow the headphone output to operate while still being able to use the internal speaker on the Mustang series.

+1 on the Vibrolux and Vibroverb models.
For the Super Reverb, have you tried using the Bassman Cab with the Twin model? I seem to remember that the Twin and the Super were very similar other than output (80 v.s. 45 watts) and speaker complement (2-12s v.s. 4-10s). The Bassman has 4-10s so I think it might be a pretty good approximation to mix the two.
