On the band tracks; delete the lead line and just use the drum, bass, etc. backing track. That's what I got the GDec for. Thanks!

I'd be happy with some simple basic improvements:

1. Speed up the basic text & windows functions, like drop down boxes and the save dialog box.

2. All Amp controls that are available in the Amp should be available in Fuse and visa versa (Blend & Master Volume).

3. Some way of setting the defaults for all Amps and effects - so they could be quickly switched into the current preset without having to retweak everytime. This would seriously improve useability.

4. The Reverb knob on the Amp should be a universal adjustment knob - setting it above 5 increases the reverb level for all selected presets. Setting it below 5 decreases the reverb for all presets. This would allow for adopting to the particular venue. One adjustment and you would be good to go for the night.

5. If you have 12 amps you need to have 120 preset locations in banks of 10, not 100. That's just plain sadistic!

6. The Wah effects should be modulation effects not stomp effects. (Except for the Fuzz Wah).

7. You should be able switch the effects between pre and post on the Amp, without the fuse software. (I know that's firmware - but you probably knows those guys).

8. Get rid of the silly effects color select menu - does anybody really care about the effects colors?

9. A Gain reduction LED on the compressors - very important to setting them up.

10. An acoustic amp model. (I mean for acoustic instruments, not the company)

11. All Amp models should sound CLEAN at LoG (I know, more firmware)

12. The 2 switch footswitch should be able to increment gain up & down - Another thing that would improve useability.

6. Make it MANDATORY for users to fill out all the data fields before they are allowed to upload a preset (so many presets out there with no information)

+1 to this. So much indecipherable crap in the presets.

Also, a dumbed-down/better phaser effect. There are way too many dials. The best phaser ever, the MXR Phase 90, has one freakin dial for the speed. If there is a "simple comp" box, then there should be a simple phase box.

But more importantly, the current phaser sounds really bad IMO. Basically it's your guitar's tone, unchanged, with a WEeeeee-ooooo weeee-ooooooo going on in the background. IMO this effect seems like an afterthought.

EDIT

Here's a link the the mighty Phase 90
http://proguitarshop.com/blog/mxr-csp-101cl-custom-shop-script-phase-90-4353

It's 1970s guitar in a box, IMO. Fender, make it happen!!!

Only if you can still set patches with different reverb levels in Fuse.

Some people like this and it doesn't effect your use.

It would be great to have double the hard drive space. Use of a 512 instead of a 256 will enable users to add band tracks without deleting existing ones.

A few quick ideas from a noob:
Tooltips or some kind of easily accessible description as to what each effect parameter does.
Some ideas on how one could use each effect like the examples near the bottom of this Jim Dunlop website
Then I could get rid of this stopgap solution.

Nevertheless, FUSE has been an excellent product so far.

How about the ability to save an effects preset/patch of your favorite grouping of effects (OD, phaser, comp, etc.) and their settings to be called up within another amp preset. This would prevent having to recreate your favorite effects settings over and over or have the option to save one from a Fender preset. I realize there's 12 spots on the mustang II to save to, but I don't want to replace them AND I would like to have more than 12. You could have numerous individual effects presets for overdrives, reverbs, etc. or any number of effects combinations to call up instantly. Or, be able to drag and drop or cut and paste effects modules into another amp preset.

Also, how about the ability to use Fuse as a plug in for DAW's.

BTW, great list, I like them all!

This may be a work-around, but you can import effects settings from one preset to another. Hit "Import" from the Preset control Panel (top, left side) and choose "fx" and then select which preset you want the effect setting to be imported from.

biemacht2000, thanks for the tip!!!! I didn't realize I could do that. I tried it and that's exactly what I mean with my suggestion. Guess we can scratch that from the list. Although, copy and paste, drag and drop or even an additional drop down menu might be a nice addition in the future. Thanks again!!!!

Once again I have updated the wishlist :)

Richard, some of your suggestions are great but I think they are veering into the hardware/firmware territory rather than the fuse software side, so haven't included them, hope you don't mind too much! Your first point I didn't put in as I think it might be dependent on the user's PC specs (for instance I don't find the menus or drop downs slow but I have a zippy processor and lots of ram).

What gets me, is I installed the fuse cd, and was able to use more than one stomp box, I was able to fill up the whole preset where ever I could. Then I upgraded to the latest fuse, and bios, and poof, I can't do that anymore!

I like the suggestions so far. Heres a couple more that would be minor improvements, but improvements.

I'd like a "save as" option when saving presets. A couple of times I didn't realize I was in Amp mode and wanted to save my preset to the computer not to the amp. And lost my preset in the process of trying to figuring out how to save it. And I also saved over a preset on the amp that didn't mean to. I've figured out how to do it now, but it would be nice if when you clicked the Save button, it gave you the option right there.

Fine tuning control. For example when I click on the Gain I can move the virtual dial with my mouse, but to dial in a more precise setting it would be cool if I could use the Up and Down arrows to fine tune. Or if I could just type in a numeric value rather than messing with the virtual dial.

An acoustic amp model, maybe based on one of Fender's own 'acoustasonic' amps, would certainly be a useful addition.

I have been using a Boss acoustic simulator pedal with my Mustang II amp with ok results, provided that I stick to the very clean, uneffected tones - typically starting with the Twin Reverb and low gain, but having a dedicated model built into the firmware and tweakable through FUSE would be much simpler I think, and I could lose the pedal.

Some of my suggestions have probably been covered. But, in addition to easy rearranging of presets:

There are many times I would like to use different presets for other songs, but they cannot be accessed quickly (deep editing is required). Thus, I have to use the same presets for these tunes or dial in new ones between songs, which is a lesser alternative. The footswitch buttons could be reassigned, but that's impractical on stage.

I would like to see the creation of changeable "scenes" or banks of presets. Instead of limiting the amp to ONE bank of 2-3 presets (the 4-button footswitch is a must), the idea would be to assign different presets (which would likely be done in Fuse) and store them as one scene, and MOST importantly, have the ability to switch between many scenes, either by footswitch or knob. Obviously, the amp would still be limited to 100 different presets.

Since this is all software based, it should be doable. Agree?

My other wishes would be to include more than one stomp box active at a time, and be able to assign a stomp or effect post-eq on the amp itself, instead of having to use Fuse for that capability.

Thanks for listening.
