I downloaded and installed the latest version of Fuse and could not locate the new firmware that's supposed to be included within the extracted/installed files and that must be updated after installation of latest Fuse per instruction. It contains only the default firmware versions labeled low and high per their respective folders.

I did locate the new firmware and the instructions to install it ONLINE via the Fuse Software and Documentation search functions and get that talken care of but again, if the new firmware is included as stated in the post, would someone please tell me exactly which folder it's hiding in after installation? :)

If I'm right, would someone please fix that download to include the new firmware as stated?

Thanks!

Welcome to the Fender forums. The latest complete versions of firmware for Mustang I-V are indeed included with FUSE 2.2.0. You can access this version using the Bundled Update option on the firmware update portion of Fender FUSE.

The public beta firmware versions were not included because those are just beta versions and haven't been finalized yet.

I'm obviously confused. I saw the wednesday release of version 1,6 on the same forum and failed to notice it was Dec 2010. So how is one to know what the latest release firmware version number is when they're only labeled as High and Low in the folders?

The purpose of those folders is so that the FUSE app can read them in order to install the firmware to your amp.

If you'd like to know which firmware is bundled with a certain version of FUSE, you can check the release notes section of the announcements and on the downloads page.

I managed to find and install the very same firmware anyway but went back through the firmware update process to find it actually suggests using the "bundled' firmware so I followed that method again just to be sure. I originally opted for browsing and installing the downloaded version because I was mistakenly mislead by the STICKY announcement of version the 1.6 release from last Dec and the fact the bundled versions simply aren't numbered. It's all sorted out.
