Might help if you provide some more details.

Are these new strings you just put on? Is the guitar new? Keep in mind that new strings need to be stretched initially when they are installed. Not sure if Fender stretches the strings on new guitars or not though.

That would be my first inkling...

You might get better responses if you ask in the correct forum. I assume your guitar is a Stratocaster so ask in the Stratocaster forum. This is where we discuss FUSE software.

I agree . . . but if this is a NEW guitar I'd suggest that you loosen each string about 5 to 6 turns. Grab each string in the pickup area and raise it up to FULL Tension. Do this 4 or 5 times.

This will help "set" the strings into the tuning post and better seat them into the nut. New string (or strings that have not been played) will stretch for several days if you don't first take the elasticity out of them. You should also do this every time you change strings.

When you tune up the string once you have it "in tune", bend the string a full three fret bend two or three times. Then re-tune. Do this for all six strings.

Also, tuners tune to "open strings". This in NOT a good way to get "in tune". It's a good starting point but don't stop there if you want to be in tune at the 6th fret and up.

I won't go into the physics of it, but once you have the open strings in tune finish up like this:

Tune high E (first string) to the 3rd string 9th fret.

Tune B string (second string) to the 4th string 9th fret.

Tune G string (third string) to the 5th string 10th fret.

Tune D string (fourth string) to the 6th string 10th fret.

Now as you move up the neck everyting should be in tune.

You may have read to tune to the 12 fret natural harmonic. That can help a mechanical tuner get a better read on the 6th and 5th string but does nothing to help the open tuning short commings.

Blessings, Bo

Fender has a great 5 year warranty, they replaced my amp with no problems.
