SK, is it a sound preference, or do you think they are not accurate to what they are supposed to be modeling, or a little of both?

I can't tell you why - I like the vox modell best (brit. 60th)
I never played one of the originals, so my jugement is not influenced by comparing the mustang sound to the real thing. Maybe the Vox modell meets best my way of playing or my guitar.

But still I detect new sounds, there are days I only use the Bassman, others the Twin or the Deluxe. As a beginner (2.5 years now) I can say I m very happy with the possibilities the mustang gives to me to learn so much about different sounds.

I really like the Marshall 1959 SLP [British '70s] once I lower SAG and slightly increase BIAS. Then again, that could just be because I've been obsessed with AC/DC songs for the past few months.

+1

This is the only model that comes anywhere near the tone I am looking for. The 57 deluxe with my HT-drive in front of it comes a close second.

Colos, what kind of guitar are you using? My telecaster sounds best with the fender amp models, and my Les paul sounds best with the Marshall's and high gain amp models, but dull with the Fender amp models.

Pretty much a dead heat between the '65 Twin, '65 Deluxe and the Vox. Though there's a lot to be said for the Bassman and tweed Deluxe as well. The Champs are useful as an effect, but not broadly applicable for me because I don't care for their cleaner sounds.

The Twin, 65 Deluxe and Vox? I could get by on any one of those by themselves.
