I totaly agree.

At home I use voice 1 on my VCXD, no need for effects as it sounds almost like the 5f1 circuit at low volumes. Only problem is once i turn it up over 3 the speaker breaks up more than the amp.

Princeton, cause i gave up my baby, a Princeton chorus as part of a two amp trade in order to get my new Mustang IV, and while the Princeton in the Mustang is modeled on an older, TUBE princeton, my Red Knob Princeton Chorus sounded just like it.

(if you download a preset ive created, please comment on it, so i can improve them! :) )

65 Twin Reverb - a close second - partly because I bought a new one in 1965 that is long gone now. :(

I also like the Deluxe Reverb really well.

British 70's - took some time but got that great early Blues sound - like a JCM 18 or 45.
65 Twin Reverb - is there a more iconic amplifier - and the model is dead on compared with my friend's original '65. EVERYBODY has used it one time or another - Stones (Tami show), Beatles (Let it Be), etc.
Supersonic - prefer the 6L6 power over the high gain EL34 power. Closer to the original Mesas than the Triple Rectifier model.

The best thing are the advanced controls to dial in age, tube sound, etc.

Some amps that are hard to dial in - Roland JC120, HiWatt (tone stack different), Non AB763 BlackFace amps , Fender 6Gx circuits.

In no particular order:
Deluxe....maybe this one is my favorite.
Twin
Champ
Supersonic

My only gripe is that I do hear some digital distortion in the decaying notes....sorta fizzy sounding on the clean settings especially.

65 Deluxe for me, followed by 57 Deluxe and Champ.
From the non-Fender amp models, my favorite would be the VOX AC-30.

At first it was the 65 Deluxe, but I downloaded a Princeton preset that was so great, it's all I've been using now for my clean and half/clean sounds.

For dirty leads, I have to go with the Supersonic.

Whats the name of the Princeton patch you downloaded? I would like to download it.
Is it on FUSE community?
My freind plugged his strat into my mustang and he liked the Princeton the best also.

The preset was '1965 Fender Princeton Reverb (Blackface)' as authored by jl_mustang (Rating is 3.8)

It's fantastic, I used it as a starting point for a nice bright clean sound

Yep I got it from the FUSE media library

The Supersonic patch that got my attention was the Supersonic Burn factory preset. It's so smooth.... love it.

I'm really enjoying the Vox AC-30 for a nice, loud crunchy sound without needing a distortion box up front.

Otherwise, it's the '65 Deluxe for the cleans.
