I was going to install the new amp firmware last night and decided to backup my presets using fuse before I started - Just in Case. Anyway when I ran the backup it would go about 3/4 of the way and crash. Wanting me to send a error report to Microsoft and telling me that Fuse had to close due to the error. Then Fuse wouldn't restart. I had to log off the computer and back on to get fuse to start and it did the same thing when I tried backing up the amp presets again.

I did go ahead and install the new firmware using fuse but that didn't help my backup.

Anybody got any ideas?

Did you notice what preset it failed on?
This happened to me and I discovered that preset slot was messed up -- its name was blank and there were no settings for it. It happened to be one that I had never changed so I restored it from a previous copy I had made, but I probably could have just saved a new one over that slot.

Good luck,

Dave

I went into windows explorer and found that it is trying to make a backup it created the file folder set.

I went in and tweaked each amp model and resaved all 24 of them and then tried to back up again still no go.

It does try to make the backup and creates the folders. I did go in and look at the files in window explorer and noticed that under effects there is no dlyrvb folder the other backups have 11 files in them and the mod folder which has 11 files in other backups only has 8 in the back up I am trying to make. In the Fuse and preset folder there are 24 files - 00 to 23 in both the successful backups and the failed one.

Which way does it number from Amber 1 is 00 or red 8? Maybe it is a error in a mods.

I don't think it the amp thats broke. Fuse has been working and I have several backups already. I have uninstalled silverlight and fuse and re-installed all the software but no help. Still crashes.

Anybody got any ideas. I really need to know about the file system how the amp models are number coresponding to the lights. Like is 00 Amber 1 or Red 8.

I don't want to loose all my current presets that I have tweeked if thats possible.

With the g-dec it would happen if the memory wasw locked. To unlock it go to the utility menu. Don't know if this is true with mustangs
