I have not been able to find the extra 76 presets that are on the Mustang III,IV,V on the Fuse website. I played with alot of these at Guitar Center the other day and they sound really good. Is there anyway someone could put them in a .zip file for Mustang I/II users to download, or could Fender just add them to Fuse please.

Thanks.

P.S. I love this amp!

Guys, I don't think you will be able to do that. Well, you could download them, most likely, but I don't think you will able to load them into a I or II. Looking at the "header" file in the code for the patches, the I and II are a little different from the III, IV and V.

I could be wrong . . . but on other modlers if the headers and file layout are different it just won't work.

I'm sure a Fender rep will jump in here at some point to clarify.

I see what you mean ..but..No, they have to work both ways..cept its hard to tell.. since we dont all add the info to show which Amp the preset was made on.....else this would cause large problems amongst us both ways..it would be like I/II vs III/IV/V madness in Fuse... I've probably already been using III's etc.. on my II.

I don't have any of the Mustang amps, but it occurred to me that one of you that has a I or II should post what presets you have so the III owners will know which presets NOT to post.

Not only that, but I think we should all vote on what preset the Mustang III/IV or V owner should upload for testing. The entire voting process should only take a week or two.

Thanks aLinux! I forgot they were tagged, similar to the G-DEC 3 presets, with the creator's name, in this case, Fender.

Yeah ..or to get just the original 24.. open the fuse program and type in "Mustang I" and you'll get just the 24 orig. list.

Hmm...here's something to ponder—if the MI and II presets are not compatible with MIII-V, why aren't the 5 mustang models listed independently in the "Amplifier" drop down menu on the Fuse site? Such as the case with the GDEC. Hmmm... :?

Thats exactly why they have to compatible both ways. Fender would have had that covered the day they released the III's and greater....but than again ..

Just because the 3,4 and 5 have more presets doesnt mean that they have more amp models and effects (I havent bothered to check tis) I have a Mustang 1.

if there are no additional amp models or presets BUILT INTO the "bigger" 'stangs then the presets would be compatible with the 1 and 2, and any additional amp models and effects added in a Fuse update would undoubtedly be useable in all models.

Seems like common sense, but we know how much of that is around these days (old coger speaking).

Yes, the II & IV have some new amp models, etc. and all are compatible with the I & II. Those and the presets from the II & IV have been posted on this forum. Just do a search.
