Start Fuse with the amp off, then turn it on once Fuse is running.

In the link I gave you, one of the Fender guys posted a response and his contact info is in his signature. Maybe take another look at that thread?

My suspicion is you PC is not seeing it as the Mustang Amp. Open your ControlPanel>HardwareAndSound>DeviceManager , drop down the Sound, video & game controllers arrow find what the Mustang is being recognized as by unplugging the USB and them plugging it back in while looking at the device manager. If it's not saying Mustang, then right click delete the USB item it is recognizing it as and unplug the USB, reboot the computer with it unplugged. Thengo back to the same place in the device manager once the PC is running again and plug back in the Mustang USB with the amp on, it should then find the amp as the mustang... whew I'm outta breath.

Thanks for all the suggestions, in the end I ended up exchanging my amp at my local dealers. It turns out my first amp had a bad USB port, now connection issues are gone.
