Just got a Mustang I and a complete beginner on guitar, so please, no flaming....

I noticed that on certain presets the red LED next to the FTSW jack comes on. What does this mean? I don't see it on every preset, just a few of the factory presets?

Do you have a footswitch plugged in ? :)

You can save 2 presets to the footswitch,
1 shows up as red the other as green on the footswitch indicator.

The footswitch just lets you switch quickly between these 2 presets.

No - no footswitch plugged in.

Actually - I just noticed I the LED is green when it is on the American 90's and then is red on the '65 Twin Reverb. Only on those two though.

Is this to show which banks can have user presets stored?

Yes. They were probably fooling around with it at the factory or soemthing. One other thing I've noticed when I plugged in a Loop-bypass pedal (not an actual footswitch, AMBER lights up as well ..so it looks like *somehow* we could save three presets there ..but we'd need to make a custom 3/4 switch thing) which I find uselful ..three stomps always better than two :)
