Can anyone point to a clean setting usable for running your recording mic straight into the Mustang and recording an amp's speaker output directly? Maybe some can create a preset for this and label it such. Obviously you would be recording the Mustangs speaker, more like vocals or another amp, just to utilize the USB recording on it. Thanks.

Here's what I've done for a fairly clean sound.

Choose the 57 Fender Deluxe amp with no effects in Fuse. Turn the effects and mod knobs up then all the way down on the amp itself. Adjust the Gain and EQ knobs on the Deluxe in Fuse how you like them and then save that as a new preset.

I use that to record through USB and add effects with plugins to Reaper.

Which is your amp? Also would'nt turning the effect knobs on the amp down just reflect on your fuse screen, sorry if I'm a bit confused by the approach. If you have a Mustang can you upload it to the Fuse presets?

I have a Mustang I.

Turning the mod and delay knobs on the amp up then all the way down ensures there are no effects since changing the knob position activates the control. I don't know if this would reflect in the Fuse screen though. I would guess not since I don't have any effects showing in Fuse: just the amp.

I'll try uploading the preset tonite and call it Clean Deluxe assuming that name is not already used.
