Hello. I have recently bought a G-DEC 3, and it came with Amplitube Fender LE. I was wondering if there was a VST for Amplitube Fender LE. I would like to use it as a VST plugin for Ableton.

P.S. I already have Amplitube X-Gear.

Thanks.

I have the full version Amplitube Fender and it provides the *.dll files to use this as a VSTi. As I recall (it's been over a year since I installed it) the VSTi was offered as an optional install item during the set up program. You had to say "yes" in order to install.

Most LE programs are designed to entice you to upgrade to the full version so my guess is that it was not included.

Personally, I like to multi track and do all the background tracks and then use the stand alone version to add the guitar tracks. Less overhead to deal with. BTW, of all the Amplitube guitar packages, I think the Fender series is the best - but then I'm not a "heavy distortion" kind of guy.

I use SONAR 8.5 as my DAW and there is a routine in this software that you must run to get new VSTi or DXis to "show up" as an option. Also, there is a field in the "Preferences" tab to indicate in what folder(s) location to look for VSTis.

Not sure how Ableton handles the addition of VSTis. You might want to check to see if there are any text files included with the install of the LE that address your question.

Yes. I believe the default install of AmpliTube Fender LE includes the VST and RTAS versions. Click the plug icon on the left side of the Ableton interface. You should see any installed VST's there.

Thanks guys. I found the *.dll file, but it turns out that I lost the authentication # in the G-DEC packaging. Oh well.
Thanks!

You can install the program without an "authorization code". You will need to request the Authorization code from IKMultimedia to RUN the program.

Contact their customer service and they can walk you through the process.

You will most likely need to set up an "account" with IKM before you make the request. No biggie. If you like virtual amp the Fender package is a good one. IMHO.
