After a sucessful update from 2.1.0 a check of the version from the "Help" tab still shows 2.1.0 - is there a limit to the number of charaters this field can show or did it in fact not update?

The installer stated that it did install correctly!?

Is there another way to tell if the software version is current?

Thanks - lov'en the MustangV head and Fuse SW.

As long as you un-installed the old one. I think that's how i did it than installed the new one...we should be OK ..but i see the same thing ... still 2.1.0 .. they just forgot to update that part..its not a limitation ..

Hi Bo,

If the About FUSE menu is showing 2.0.1, then that is the version that's running. Uninstall that, restart, and run the 2.1.0.8 installer again.

Loren,

As an FYI, I did uninstall the previous version of Fuse, rebooted, and installed 2.1.0.8 but Fuse only shows 3 digits in the firmware version ( 2.1.0)

The Add/Remove applet does show I have 2.1.0.8 installed.

Maybe the Fuse software code only allows 3 digits to be shown?

I just un-installed Fuse / Reboot / re-install .. Control Panel shows two Fuse installed
but one just shows the web Url and the other shows the correct version 2.1.0.8 so
maybe thats why ..seems to install two Fuses... .. Anyways .... I opened Fuse
and it shows 2.1.0 still. Not a big deal ..im sure its 2.1.0.8 .. but just to let yous know
on the next one ..be good to correct it.

It should be mentioned somewhere that you have to uninstall the olde version first. What happens to all the presets that are saved to the computer if one does the uninstall?

How do we then know which version is installed? I'm at work right now and cannot check but does the control panels installed program list show all the installed Fuse versions?

Yeah, the control panel shows the correct version. But i'm using Vista and I'm noticing a second entry w/o the version ..it shows a fuse.fender.com Url. I guess its normal..but I originally thought I screwed up and installed 2.0.1.8 over-top of the old fuse ..but I didn't..things are dandy :D

Well here is my take on all of this.

I deleated EVERYTHING associated with FUSE. I did notice that from the Control Panel in Windows that two icons appeared. One said FUSE and when clicked on simply gives the option to "uninstall" - that's it. The other says FUSE 2.1.0.8 launcher. When I deleated the first the second would no longer work - so the program must need BOTH to launch.

I deleated both of these and then installed only the new Fuse 2.1.0.8 exe file. That placed both of the icons back into the control panel. When I go to the HELP Tab from the main menu it still indicates the version is 2.1.0 so it simply is not updating the version number during the new patch.

I'm pretty sure the patch took but it would be nice for the program to say so. Anyone know of a good place to look to see a "new feature" or fix that this patch addressed? Or better yet a listing kof all the changes released on this patch?

"Hello" Fuse team???? Lov'en it anyway!!!! Bo

All I found is:
Fender FUSE 2.0.1 includes numerous bug fixes and enhancements including but not limited to:

Corrected issue that prevented loading Presets from SD Card (G-DEC 3)
Contains SL Launcher fix that caused stuck splash screen for some users
Added support for Mustang III, IV, and V amplifiers
Includes bundled Mustang firmware update versions 1.6 (Mustang I&II) and 1.5 (Mustang III, IV, and V)
Fixed other minor issues.

OK, thanks for that - I have a MustangV Head and loaded the firmware 1.5 and the FUSE 2.1.0.8 and all seems to be fine.

I guess the Firmware 1.5 was the biggie for me!

Blessings, Bo

1.6.0 is for the lower numbered Mustangs, The IV and V are at 1.5 for right now.

I build my own cabs - right now I am using a 2 X2 loaded with two EV12M-Ls and/or 2 1x12 cabs loaded with Celestion Vintage 30s. Also have a Vox 2 x 12 cab loaded with Alnico Eminace . . . something.

They all sound good . . the EV's sound GREAT!
