Need your able assistance - just got the GDEC.
I followed the advanced menu and read through numerous threads, but still have problems matching downloaded new presets with new band tracks.

I have used the Utility menu to unlock the memory, and can successfully download new presets using the USP hookup from computer to amp.

When I attempt to download band tracks the software indicates I have too much in memory, and instructs me to delete some files.

When I attempt to delete preset files, the software indicates I cannot delete files, but can only overwrite the amp presets.

1/ How can I delete some of the presets/band tracks I will never use?
2/ How do I match new band tracks with my new presets?
3/ How can I free up the memory?

thanks
Gerry

Hi Gerry,

1. You can delete Presets and Band Tracks by right-clicking them in the amp tab in the Media Library in FUSE and selecting delete. You can also delete Band Tracks using USB Drive Mode. In the Utility menu on the amp, select USB drive mode. This turns your amp into a USB flash drive. You can access the amps memory in "Computer" (My Computer in XP) and manually delete whatever Band Tracks you'd like to.

You may want to consider picking up an SD card to use instead of deleting files. The amps internal memory is about 256MB and it ships pretty full already so you won't be able to add many more Band Tracks to it. I just bought a 2GB SD card for $7.99.

2. To assign Band Tracks to Presets, make sure you're on the main Preset screen. Let's say, for example, that you're on Preset #00. Press the Band button below the screen. From there you will select a file type (MIDI or MP3/WAV) and then the audio file itself. Press save and you will have saved that particular Band Track to Preset #00. Please remember that you must save the Preset to keep the Band Track assignment. You can repeat the same steps on other Presets.

3. See number 1.

Loren - First off - thanks for your prompt reply the other day.
I was able to delete and change a couple of presets and band tracks, but then the software was amending files and Fuse erased all of the remaining bandtracks on my computer's media library list. I still have the tracks on "my documents" and when I try to add them to the Fuse/computer library nothing happens...

Please help

thanks
Gerry

Unfortunately I have spent numerous hours on amp set-up time that has burned hours away from guitar playing/practicing. This amp is way too complicated.

No problem Gerry,

It sounds like FUSE is behaving strangely. If the audio files are still in the proper location on your computer, I recommend just uninstalling and reinstalling Fender FUSE. It won't delete your Band Tracks or presets, it should just force FUSE to behave properly.
