Hey guys, still nothing yet. They asked me to do this:

"1. %localappdata% Here you should see a folder window. Please locate the Microsoft folder. Inside this folder, look for the Silverlight folder. Delete this folder.

2. %localappdata% In this same path you should navigate to the same main window. Once there, double click on AppData in the address bar at the top of the window. Once there, open the LocalLow folder, then the Microsoft folder and locate and delete the Silverlight folder there.

You can copy and paste these commands into the Search bar in Win Vista & 7."

Well I can't find those two files. I'm using XP and when I click on Start and then on Search I come to this dog -> http://zone.ni.com/cms/images/devzone/t ... %20(edited).png but I don't even know what to search for. "Files & Folders"?

Maybe you could explain that to me. ^^

You are being given instructions for use on Windows Vista or 7. Those things will be in a different place on XP.

You'll want to verify with Fender Support first but the folders you are looking for are likely under the Local Settings folder in your profile which is contained in the Documents and Settings folder. You must enable viewing of hidden files to see these folders.

Hi Punka,

I thought you were on Win 7. For XP, you would still use the %localappdata% command. But you will want to access it from Run in your Start Menu. Also, it will just be the one Silverlight folder. There is not a LocalLow on XP. Please check this out and let me know if you can locate this folder. Thanks.

Best Regards,

Hey guys,

just wanted to let you know, that I installed a newer version of FUSE (maybe some of the guys can upload it, if ithasn't already been done?), deinstalled Silverlight and Fuse and .Net in all combinations imaginable and in the end: it simply started again and I do not know what it was that did the trick. LOL

However now it simply stays in the grey shades mode, after I click on my Mustang amp in the selection window. :(

Try updating your Browser to IE8 if its not ..I think that helps this problem.

Hey guys,

I have the current version of the IE installed (V8). I also have the newest versions of .NET and Silverlight installed. It still won't run. :(

Did you remove the folder Allan mentioned as well ? the localdata thing. I've read that quite a few times now.. and it could be a hidden folder.. so follow the directions he's given you... I'm pretty sure its Silverlights folder for Mustang settings storage.... I guess removing the Mustang from within the Silverlight application doesn't work.

Hi Punka,

Thanks for your patience on this issue. At this point many troubleshooting steps have been taken, including running CCleaner, deleting some FUSE registry data, and running our custom .bat file as well as a new test build of FUSE. While we continue to work hard to resolve the issues that our users are having with the software, in your case, I believe the time has come to consider a reinstall of your OS.

We rarely ever recommend a reinstall, but in most cases it can save you more troubleshooting time as well as get you up and running with Fender FUSE fairly quickly. We have no doubt that FUSE will run great on your computer with a fresh install. I only recommend it because you seem savvy enough to do it.

Hey guys,

I fear a complete makeover of my OS is not an option. I have to many programms installed that are of much importance for my work.

The instructions I have been given thus far were from the standpoint that I was using Win 7 and not XP. I still haven't been able to locate any of the mentioned files and would be more than happy to delete em if I could find em. I believe that the
%localappdata% file is an English name, it may be called differently in German Windows versions. That's why I can't find it using the run button.

Greetings

Try scrolling to your $User/AppData/Local/Microsoft directory and delete the /Silverlight directory. That's the one that contains all the Fuse data. Or it would be $User/Local/Settings/Application Data/Microsoft in XP I think.

Click Start>Run, type %userprofile% and click ok. Do you see a Silverlight folder?

Its a hidden folder (you can edit ur folder settings for a few minutes and enable the unhide option for system folders and files..).. then look in those directory`s I listed above and delete the Silverlight Fender Fuse directory.
