Hi

Being a Community Forum Member, I was wondering howcome there are no Fender Amp Experts from the Fender Factory online to answer some questions asked here regarding the use of FUSE eg... Sag and Tube Bias and also creating other Amp Tones.
I know some people here on the Forum know a thing or two about these Amps.. but are there any experts.
Just my Thoughts..... but I dont want to cause any trouble on this Topic..

Thanks FENDER FOR A WONDERFUL AMP in MUSTANG II

regards

Ronnie

There are some, see the moderator names, but they can't be here 24/7, there to busy making equipment for us :), plus, these forums aren't really meant for Technical questions, mind you, its a privilege we actually get some really good (added) support here. Forums are really just created for community fun chat, nothing more.

Hi

Yes, aLinux I do See these Moderators Names, but still dont explain how Some decent answers cannot come from these experts. We are sold these Amps to enjoy and Play, why not some replies to serious questions.

regards  :?

I've been here about 2 months... I've seen pretty much every question answered here, whether its direct answers....or been passed onto the "boys that can make this happen"
Fender is listening and it takes time to fix certain things. You have to remember, this is software Fender is taking on, (new to me), not so new to SXCD, G-Dec users but for Mustang owners its a brand new product... I think there doing an amazing job and sure there a few bugs here and there but thats normal.

If you figure millions of Mustangs been sold world-wide and there only minute complaints about software...It can be many things..(our own computers for instance) Operating System with broken drivers, etc... I'll bet if we ALL wipe the box clean an started out with fresh install of Windows (maybe stop win updates..thats drives me nutz anyhow) things might go w/o a hitch..but how are they to know, how each and every one of us take care of our computers. I have friends and family and when i look at the monitors, all I see is zillions of icons with freeware programs upon more programs.. meaning viruses, malware, adware, trojans, bots, root kits.. you name it ..its there. Sorry, not meaning
for this to sound like a rant... i'm just sayin

You have gone totally off the Question.I never asked about Bugs in Software/ Trojans or peoples Computers.....
A simple question was howcome no member of the Fender Moderators can answer simple questions like what and how SAG / Tube Bias are supposed to operate ......and other preset questions.

Thank You for your Time anyhow.

regards  :? :o

Hi shadowhankron,

Thanks for your comments and questions. We will be putting together some official information regarding BIAS and SAG adjustments shortly. In the mean time, I would encourage you to experiment with these settings and see what they sound like to you with the tones and Presets you like. Happy New Year.

Best Regards,

Search seems to be working now horay! but it goes something like this:

BIAS
They actually work very similar to an Tube AMP .. If you Bias down the AMP you should get a cleaner sound since the Tubes are are actually warmer .. Bias up and you get less head-room and more distortion ...

SAG
Is actually amazingly like a old Super Reverb or Virbro King feel when you increase it ..you really get that natural tube compression.. spongy sound ..and decreasing the sag control ..cuts down the compression sound and spongy feel ...

Two cool features to play around with .. you'll think you have a whole new AMP

Thanks to Alan Willey.. look forward to the extra information coming soon.

Thanks aLinux for the Good detail about the SAG and Bias, as these words are new to me, but have heard from another site roughly that these extras could make the Mustang sound TUBE like Amp.

regards

Sure np... and Bias and Sag controls only came with good Tube Amps. That's why there included on the Mustangs  Remember when Biasing to be careful, you dont want to run these Valves to hot ..they'll need replacing sooner (j/k)

Yeah, Incredible to me, I use full SAG in VOX AC30 Clean. I turn BIAS off in VOX AC30 Crunch, (amazing sound for Claptons - Old Love, song).

Off top my head...pretty sure Robben Ford OD 1 and SRV OD presets use it as well or maybe its Post Gain rack ..cant rem. but its just neat to get over-driven (unheard of) sounds at volume one....... lol ..Only way to achieve these sounds with any other Amp is by really pushing the Amp HARD......but the Mustangs magically manage to do it on one watt of power  then they clean up really nice with other presets....endless tones... by far, the funnest Amp i've ever owned.
