Hello,
first, apologize my english.
I've some trouble with "Fender Fuse" (2.0.1. for PC).
One day I've needed to get a normal Startup (I've tuned my security settings of IE8 to default). Community articles were helpfull.
Before I've got only the message "...load, please wait" and no happens.
Now my amp (Mustang 1) won't connect after "Fender Fuse" start.
Switch on/off the amp.
I've installed the software some times.
I've run the "Fender FUSE Driver Setup.exe" - All without success.
Can help me somebody. I'm frustrated :(
Thanks !

Notebook: HP NC8000
Intel Pentium M Processor, 1600 MHz
1 GB RAM
WIN XP Professional, SP3
IE 8, .Net 3.51, Silverlight 4
Amp: Mustang 1

What nationallity do you use on your computer...I seen one other post about a German
who seem to have a similar problem. Its probably best to call Fender about this issue.

Thank you aLinux. Yes, I'm living in Germany. I come from "fender.de" over "Cummunities" to "fender.com". Can you post the link to the "german" article ?
I can't find it. I afraid I'm blind. :?
Thanks

You're correct - its seems to be gone now, probably since the BBS update. He didn't
have a remedy I dont think, but he mentioned he was installing the Fuse CD in German and he wondered if the German installer has bug(s) in it. I never seen a any replies since he contacted Fender directly.....cant even find the post...searched for "german, lang, lauguage, nationality, native" zero results sorry.

Hi 4968uwe,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having troubles with Fender FUSE. I see that you are referring to Fender Driver setup.exe. In version 2.0.1 there is no driver setup in the installer for Windows. Can you please end us an email, and we can do some additional troubleshooting from there.

Best Regards,

It works !!
The USB componente of my amplifier was bad. I've changed my amplifier for a new mustang1. Thank you for your Help, especially for the support from Alan Willey and Fender.

How can you see the right USB-Port ?
If you switch on your Mustang1 and the USB-cable are connected with your PC,
several devices will appear in the "Windows Device Manager" (Start/Control Panel/System).
Select the Hardware tab. From there, select Device Manager. If the Fender Fuse Software installed, you can see a related HID driver and an USB Audio device driver.

In my Device Manager were no related drivers. A new USB cable was not helpfull.

Now I've Fun with my Mustang - Oh happy day :D

Same problem, but with Mac OS X 10.6.6: no amplifier connected. THe Mustang works connected to Garage Band as an input device, and FUSE was happy to update the firmware to 1.6 (Fuse is 2.1.0.8, just downloaded today).

It the system supposed to see the USB connection from the Mustang without any special tricks? That is, just plug it in and turn it on?

Hi Eddie,

There usually aren't any "special tricks" required in order for FUSE to sync with the amp. You may want to verify that the Mustang isn't being used by another audio app such as Garageband. Also, deselect Mustang from the input list in the Sound pane in system prefs and restart FUSE. I hope that helps.

Hey GarethJB84,

Are we talking about getting FUSE to recognize the Mustang? The most common issue with FUSE not recognizing the amp on any Windows system has to do with the drivers not properly installing or becoming corrupted.

Be sure to unplug all of your USB devices except for the amp. Go to device manager with the amp turned on and connected, and under Universal Serial Bus Controllers, you should see a USB Composite device. If you see more than one, you'll have to determine which one the amp is. Right click and uninstall that USB Composite device. Once it's uninstalled, disconnect your amp and then reconnect it. The device should be recognized in some way.

First start Fuse with the amp turned off, then log into Fuse then turn amp on.
