Cool .. I'll try your Wah preset. I happen to have a Tec4x as well ..and although I hardly never use the Wah effect ..I do know it had some-sort-of-neat-wah-sound ...so i thought Mustang would be the same or better since the other effects are incredible sounding on the Mustang ..I just thought its a flaw ..as well as the fuzz ..but maybe its normal and sounds fine to some people is all that matters.

Hey Guys,

It looks like the Touch Wah effect is dependent on a certain amount of gain. If you don't hit it hard enough you won't notice the effect. We're going to increase the input sensitivity in a firmware update and that should resolve the issue.

Bob - This doesn't appear to be an issue with the G-DEC 3. The input sensitivity on the G-DEC is at a sufficient level to achieve a good Wah sound.

I must say that wah really sucks *ss. It does not evevn distantly sound like anything called wah.

It's like putting a pillow in front of the speaker.

While noodling around this weekend, I finally tried Waht's Wrong & another preset with wah. I guess my G&L is just too low an input to really use the wahs effectively. I got it to work, but really had to hammer on the strings to get a wah sound out of it.

I still think Fender could look into increasing the sensitivity of this effect more. I have no problem with any guitar getting a great autowah sound I own on my Vox AD60VTX or ToneLab.

I hate to think what Mustang owners are hearing (or not) if the G-DEC wah is BETTER than the Mustang!

For what its worth ..I plugged in a modtone vintage wah lastnight ..it sounded perfect ... just as good or better as going thru the tube Amp here.

After playing around some more with the wah pedals on the G-DEC 3, I finally found out what I was doing wrong! :P

First of all, the effect needs proper input. My bridge pickup on my G&L SC-3 really works well...the other selections, not as well, but still usable. Still have to try with my Ibanez RG550 & Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus (both snowed in at our home studio location), as well as my Epiphone SG modified w/GFS Memphis pickups. I suspect they'll work better, as the pickups are hotter.

Second, the Sensitivity control works opposite of what I thought. If I want MORE sensitivity, I leave it turned DOWN! I thought I should turn it UP to be more sensitive. Hope that helps anyone else that is having wah issues. Also, play with the Min & Max settings for the wah range. I found that setting the MIN above 50% with the Max at 100% gave me the best results with the Q at about 75%.

I'm just a beginner here but I haven't been able to capture that "Wah" sound yet myself. I just downloaded the preset suggested and can't get it to work for me. I'd like to get that Cream / White Room effect but can't seem to dial it in. Must be something the community is missing as all other Mustang effects are GREAT !!! .... I'll keep experimenting and if I can come up with answer I'll let you all know.
