I've had my Mustang I for 24 hours, and it's awesome. FUSE is an incredible tool, and I've been exploring the ins and outs. I do have a few thoughts about making it more user-friendly.

1. Please provide some print options. More than anything, I'd like to print (or copy the text from) the amp's current 24 presets to make it easy to dial up the right one. Now, it looks like the only way to get a crib sheet is via screen grab.

2. There's a lot of complex stuff going on in FUSE but the manual seems to assume the user already knows a lot about amps, effects, etc. Would love to see a glossary that describes:
--The amps used for modeling.
--The cabinets used for modeling.
--Basic descriptions of the available effects and how they might be used. Chorus, flanger, phaser, etc., as well as the settings available in the pedals, rack effects and advanced amplifier settings.

3. As others have commented, there needs to be a way to get a completely clean setting with no DSP effects applied.

Thank you, Fender, for an amazing product at a mind-bogglingly great price.

1. That's a good idea. Without saying too much, it could also be implemented in my... *cough* *mumble*.. inofficial *cough* setlist-creator.. *cough* What? I didn't say anything. :)

??? Something germinating in your brain, perhaps?

The settings all appear to be stored as XML, so someone more clever than me could extract the data.

Exactly, it should be quite easy to create an application to manage presets in a lot of ways. And that's what I thought about playing with during the coming weekend, if time allows me to.

Those are some great suggestions Newstech, especially #1. I'll add those to the list of suggestions that we keep here.

Okay People and Peoplettes, small update from my little project.

I've entertained myself in coding a small parser of the presets, which now enables me to modify the parameters through a custom application.

The first thing I'm thinking of implementing is a "setlist-creator" which should make it easy to create bundles of presets that you can upload to the amp with a single click.

For example:
You want to play 5 specific songs with 5 specific backing tracks, and want the presets to be #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 on the amp, each of them hooked up to certain band-tracks.

Then you might want to do another set with a bunch of other songs/presets..
This is where it gets fun - you can go back and forth between different setlists like these with the click of a mouse-button (or two) once you have your setlists up.. (and then you need to wait for the amp to update itself, but that's when you warm up your fingers).

Adding some sort of print-functionality to that is a no-brainer, so I could do that whenever I get that far. :)

Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated.
