I'm having a BLAST using the AmpliTudeFenderLE in my recordings on my CAKEWALK/SONAR Home Studio 6. The tones are frickin great. I'm up 'til sunrise playing with this stuff!

This may be a dumb question, and I swear I've tried searching the forum here, but...

...is there a way to use the Fender FUSE and my Mustang II's presets in SONAR to record? In other words, how do I get SONAR to talk to the Mustang? Or to the FUSE settings?

Using SONAR's Plug-In Manager, I've tried getting the Mustang/FUSE into my Soft Synth or Audio FX categories, but no luck.

I must be missing a step or two. Do I need to mess with the Audio Options or something? The drivers?

I also uploaded the Ableton Live 8.0.9 program, and I guess that setup can pull in the Mustang's settings? I haven't messed with that puppy yet, because for now, I'm just trying to record guitar tones with the FUSE software.

Thanks in advance!!!

This is a qualified guess only, but I don't think it's possible to use the presets in anything but the Fender amplifiers, as they should contain DSP-specific information to set up the effects properly, and I don't think the DSP is based on any generic software, thus not using any standard format for presets.

So, to record, I guess your options are to use the line-outs in the back of the amp and connect them to an appropriate sound card / mixer / recording device, or recording to the SD card, or possibly recording digitally through the USB (I don't know whether this is possible).

Hey Guys,

AmpliTube Fender LE can be used as a plug-in in Sonar or any other DAW that supports VST. Fender FUSE, on the other hand, is a completely standalone app. It's only purpose is to edit/catalog/download/upload Mustang and G-DEC 3 presets and Band Tracks. It won't interface with any other software or any other amps.

The G-DEC 3 and Mustang amplifiers function as USB audio interfaces. You can record tones from your amp to Sonar through USB as long as you have the Fender Universal ASIO driver installed. You can download the driver here:

I hope that helps.

Loren
