When I open up Fender Fuse on my Mac, the loading please wait screen shows then right after the window goes black and will not change from that. Fuse normally works fine on my computer this just started happening today. I just re installed it also and there was no improvement.

Any suggestions?

Hi imis993,

Which version of Fender FUSE do you have running? Has anything changed on your system recently? Any new apps installed or updated? I find it strange that it worked previously but now it doesn't launch. That usually indicates something has changed. Please let me know.

I have 2.0.1.501 running.

Nothing has changed on my computer since then, i tried reinstalling it from the software that came with my G-dec 3 30 amp but no luck...

That could be part of the problem. The version of FUSE that came with the amp is version 1. Many changes and fixes have occurred since that version. Uninstall what you have now, download 2.0.1.501 again, save, then run.

Hope that helps!
Bob

Hello 21_guitars,

Welcome to the Fender forums.

The issue you are experiencing is usually related to an out of date version of Internet Explorer. I assume you are using Windows. Which version of IE do you have installed? Fender FUSE requires version 7 or later.

I just bought a Gdec Tonight and had the same problem with my mac. Having read that the Fuse uses silverlight, I recalled that about 3 weeks ago netflix had stopped working on my mac all of a sudden. Knowing Netflix also uses Silverlight, I figured my silverlight had gotten messed up.

I went here to Microsoft site for instructions on how to manually uninstall silverlight on my mac, then used there site to reinstall my silverlight.

Lo and Behold after doing that not only did my fuse work, but so did my netflix!

Give it a shot if you haven't tried already, heres a link to Microsofts Silverlight site.

Just for the record, Reinstalling the fuse software did not fix the silverlight problem, I had to completely remove the plugin and then reinstall.

Hello. Has anyone figured out a fix for the Black Screen at start up? I also run an Intel Mac. I just downloaded the latest Fuse update, but I still get the Black screen and to be honest with you am completely fed up. I have been dealing with this for months now. Can anyone help me with this issue? Thanks.

Hey Nickmatty,

Have you tried uninstalling Silverlight and Fender FUSE? You can find instructions on removing Silverlight here:
http://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight ... fault.aspx
To remove Fender FUSE just trash the app and empty the trash. It also may be a good idea to run Software Update to update Safari, Java for OS X, etc.
Let me know if that works for you.
