I've downloaded artist presets. Is there a tutorial for getting them into FUSE?
Is there a folder where they should be stored prior to "import"?
Thanks for any help.

It doesn't matter which folder you save it in.
Just save it somewhere you can remember and import =)

Thanks, Klasher. I guess i'm missing something. I have some Jeff Beck presets in a folder on my Macbook Pro. When I open FUSE and try to import, it displays an Alert: Preset File not found or corrupted. If I try to open The preset from the folder, it says that FUSE won't open files of this type (GD_jeffbeckecho.fuse). I'll keep trying!

Could be a corrupted file, have you tried re-downloading the preset?

Otherwise, re-install or update to the latest Fuse if you haven't yet.

Hi rs4425,

That sounds like you're trying to import an incompatible Preset. Are you sure you're downloading the correct Preset type for your amplifier? Mustang and G-DEC 3 Presets aren't interchangeable.

Thanks, Klasher and Loren. I'll reload and try again. The presets I tried to enter were downloaded from the community page. Maybe they weren't designed for my Mustang II? FYI: the KEYBOARD on my Macbook Pro / Snow Leopard stopped working when I downloaded those presets, so they may have been corrupted. I removed battery and deleted FUSE and the Jeff Beck presets and I'm working again. THANKS!

Remember that any Preset with a GD prefix is a G-DEC 3 Preset and Presets with an MU prefix are for the Mustang.

Yes, but he's trying to import it into Fuse, that shouldn't matter right?
he's not importing it into his amp (yet).

Using the import button to import a Preset implies that you want to import a Preset to work with right now. Since the Preset isn't compatible that's not possible. On the other hand, using the Add To Library function will import any Preset type. The downside being that if you have a G-Dec connected and you download and import a Mustang Preset, you won't see that Preset until you connect a Mustang but it is there.

Thanks, Loren. You were correct. I was using presets designed for another amp. (shame that presets can't be shared between AMPS, but I read your explanation, so we'll have to live it). Some of the users may not have the correct amp selected when they begin the preset search. Is there a way set FUSE to default to my Mustang II, instead of it displaying GDEC? Thanks and I love these amps!

The amp drop-down will default to whichever amp is connected. If you connect your G-DEC 3 and visit the Community, it should only display G-DEC Presets unless you select Mustang in the drop-down.
