After having upgraded my G-DEC 3 30 amp and installing the latest FUSE software, I am now getting a "FUSE has stopped working" when I try to start the FUSE software under Windows 7 (64-bit) when the USB cable is attached. Do I need to go back to the old FUSE software until all of these latest issues are resolved?

I also have an issue in that if I turn off my amp, when I turn it back on, my computer gives an error that an "Unrecognized USB device is not responding" and I have to reboot my computer to get it to recognize the amp. Is that a common problem with the G-DEC 3 amp?

I have the same OS and GDEC. Like yourself and others I also had an issue installing the guse update. Read the post on here for possible solutions. What worked for me was to reload default presets then reinstall fuse 2. Apparently the brains at Fender did not take into account that people rearrange and change presets so the update did not know how to handle it.

Rearanging these presets seems to be an ongoing issue with Fender and customers. It seems that all useres want to do this but for whatever reason Fender dose not seem to want us doing this. They do not provide an easy way for us to rearange our presets and based on this last update they are discouraging it by forcing us to reset the default presets before we update to the new Fuse.

This might not solve your issue but it's one thing to look at.

Good luck.

But how would I go about restoring the default presets if I cannot connect via USB to the amp?

You do not need to be connected to your computer.

Go to the utilities menu on your amp and scroll until you see reset all presets. You can also export your presets from the utilities menu before you do this as well.
