Hi, I just go the GDEC 330 and really like it.

I'm having a problem with the amp connecting to the Fuse software. The Windows usb message recognizes the amp etc. But on the bottom left of the Fuse software the red icon and "no amp conected" message appears.

What did I miss doing?

I take it that since the amp is not connected I cannot see the presets or edit and download to the amp?

When you edit a preset. Is it sent to the amp via usb or do you have to save it to the SD card and import?

I know newbie questions, but I cannot seem to find any real answers any where.

I there a list that details the presets.

Thanks

Buck330

Hi, I would shut off the computer, unplug the Gdec usb, restart
the computer, start and login to fuse, then plug in the usb cable.

http://www.fender.com/support/search.php?category_id=2

73 articles are at this link on the G-Gec. Quite a few on SD cards.
I have a Mustang1 myself, and FUSE V2 on xp, and if the amp is
on when I start fuse, it is detected before I am logged in.
Turning it off and on while fuse is running, and it disconnects
and re-connects. Have you tried all the available usb ports, and
disconnecting any other usb devices?

With the amp disconnected, if I am logged in, I can still view the
community presets on the website, and the presets stored in
the fuse presets folder on my computer, but not those on the amp.

Hope you get it working!

Hey Buck330,

Welcome to the Fender forums. Did you install Fender FUSE from the G-DEC 3 DVD or did you download version 2.0 from the web?

You are correct in your assumption that currently you can't edit any amplifier Presets.

Fender FUSE simply tells the amp what changes are being made to a Preset. That way, the Preset actually stays on the amp unless you copy it to your computer or SD card.

Hi, thanks for the suggestions. I finally was able to connect to the Gdec. I did down load the latest version of Fuse. I uninstall and reinstalled twice. No error messages etc. Then I turned the amp off and on and it synced. There must be a sequence of steps missing or something as I have never had any problems before with gear communicating with the PC. I 've never had a problem even with Midi !

Any way it works now and I' m enjoying the amp and learning the software.

Thanks :D
