I am disappointed in Fuse. I share a computer with my son and he cant use Fuse 2.0 because user account control has to be lowered to allow him access.

I installed fuse from the disk and it didn't work on his account without the admin password so I updated the firmware, uninstalled fuse, and reinstalled Fuse 2.0 and silver-light. It doesn't work any better

If I disable UAC to allow him access to Fuse it lowers it to the point he can install anything else he wants. This is not acceptable and I really don't want to run into the computer room and type my password in for him every time he wants to use his amp with fuse.

I thought this problem would have been fixed in 2.0. Has anybody else had this issues and if so is there any way to fix it without disabling UAC

You may have to establish a practice regimen in the times you are typically available. Maybe tie it to good grades. I'd do away with the 'computer room'
and move it where privacy is not practical. Yeah, old fashioned, but net sickos will gladly educate our kids if we let them.
Cheers

edit: the recent .net framework versions require admin installation, so apps heavily dependant on it, probably will to. Don' know if this was true back in
V1 and V2 times.

Fuse was installed from the disc on the admin account and when I upgraded to Fuse 2.0 I removed the program and installed the download from the Admin account.

Every other program I have installed this way, the the standard user account is able to run, unless I have specified differently. Surely it should be the Admins choice if a standard user should be required to provide a password to run and not fender or Microsoft decision.

I would be curious if one of the moderators had any suggestions?

Hey Tagg31,

Unfortunately the current version of Fender FUSE requires admin access to run. However, this will not be the case in future releases. We are currently testing an update that resolves this and other issues. I don't really have any suggestions for a short term solution. I apologize. A new release will be available soon.

Loren,
Thanks for the response. The amp is really exceptional, much better than any of the other modeling amps out there in my opinion. I would also like to say that fuse works great on the admin account. We haven't been disappointed despite the standard user password problem. How long will it be before the next update? Are we talking a month or two?

Hey Tagg31,

As I said before we are currently testing an update. Unfortunately I can't give you an exact time frame but testing is generally the final stage before release.
