Just trying to get we we paid hard-earned money for. As consumers, the expectation is that a product should perform as advertised.

Too much to ask?

Of course not. Can't expect nothing less than what has been advertised.
I was merely saying that as long as they (Fender in this case) are doing what they can to fix the problem and not ignoring us, it -is- good behaviour and shouldn't be frowned on.
This applies to the problem that has been taken up in this thread, as it is not a general problem (affecting "all" users) and I think that should be taken into consideration when "selecting the anger-level". This is not something that could have easily been caught in the lab before release. It's an unfortunate bug.
So, based on that, I think they way they are handling this isn't by any means "bad".

I'm interested to know whether:-

a) anyone running on Vista or Windows 7 has been affected by the bug

b) anyone using XP has not had a problem

Seems simplistic, but my feeling is that it is mostly XP users having the problem.

I appreciate your optimism. However, and especially considering how long this issue has been debated, I can't agree. I tend to just stick to facts: purchased product; product doesn't work as advertised; seller does not appear to be doing anything about it.

Fender can do their reputation a lot of good if, after months of dealing with this problem, let their customers know more precisely what they're doing to resolve this. When a corporate representative can't even commit to a solution in the timeframe of 2010, 2011, or 2012, the credibililty of the organization becomes questionable.

I take some exception to your premise that the Fender employees are doing everything they can to address this. Maybe they are and maybe they aren't. Neither you nor I can ascertain. But, the fact is that this problem has been going on for quite some time and it is still not fixed.

This is not personal; it's strictly business i.e. consumers pay for a product and expect to get what they paid for...

Hi Guys,

We're actually in the testing stages for a fix for this issue. It appears we have it resolved. If all goes well with testing we'll release it very soon. Thanks again for your patience.

Mr. Howard,

2010, 2011 or 2012?

Simple question; simple answer.

Jaydv,

Are you a troll, looking to cause trouble here? I haven't read a reasonable post by you yet in any topic here.

I'll try once more...

I'm trying to make a practical suggestion here which might solve the problem, at least until v2 is fixed. Let the forum know if it works for you too.

Try installing v1.0.1 instead. I'm sure it will work, especially as it does not use Silverlight.

If you don't have v1.0.1 on your original cd, I'm sure the Fender team could make it available on the website somewhere (couldn't you?). I can't see any particular disadvantage in using v1, unless someone knows otherwise...

Cheers

That's a good suggestion Paul. However, any version prior to version 2.0 does not support the Mustang amps.

For what it's worth:

I just uploaded Fuse v2.0.1 (Full install) for PC. Installed it under Win7 Professional 64bit (fully updated with Windows updates and it loads up ok. DOesn't seem to be experiencing any of the problems that others here are talking about.

It did hang when I pushed a button but that could just be me. I've only had the amp about 4 days and the software loaded for 30 mins.

Looking forward to seeing what it can do.

Cheers
Peter

PS In the earlier version of Fuse the firward update from 1.03 to 1.04 for my G3-Thirty didn't work but it worked fine off the SD card. Now running 1.04 on the amp and Fuse 2 on my Win7 pc. Nice work Fender .... :D

Not at all bclarke.

Just a customer who paid for a product that doesn't work as advertised...

P.S. No need for name-calling...

Didn't mean to offend. Just noticed the tone of most of your posts seem a bit unreasonable given the level of support I and other users here have gotten.

Wasn't aware that a "troll" was name-calling. Just a term to refer to people who are trying to stir trouble in forums.

bclarke,

Thanks again for your comments. Just wondering...as long as you agree that the product doesn't work as advertised, would YOU like to refund the money I paid for this?
