Oh man,

The decision to involve MS, MS IE or any of it's services in this FUSE effort is deeeeeeply flawed, stupid, ignorant and/or delusional and I suspect the individual or team responsible for that part of the FUSE project has been terminated or should be.
I'm a new Mustang II owner been struggling thru the 17 forum pages of work-throughs, fixes and work-arounds and up to step 5 of a 3 page PDF fix with still no solution.
Looking at my calendar to see if I can return this Mustang amp POS.

NO END USER SHOULD EVER BE CONFRONTED WITH THIS DEGREE OF DYSFUNCTIONALITY IN A HIGHLY MARKETED FEATURE.

I am a working professional with little time to expend on this nonsense. 6 hours today on my day off and no resolution.

My faith in Fender products severely depleted.
Maybe next week IF I have some time I'll try phone tech support but, really?

Friggin Batch files.... WTMF?

kslappy101, this is your first post on the forum. That says a lot.

Based on your attitude, I would imagine you could easily have as much trouble installing pretty much any software. If you're having this much trouble just installing FUSE, please try to stay away from any computer recording projects. It only gets harder from here.

That is all, have a nice day!

Hi kslappy101,

We are available to assist. Further, we have a support post located at the link below. This post contains detailed step by step troubleshooting information for the most common issues encountered with the Fender® FUSE™ software. Have a look at this documentation. There should be no need for you to search through lots of Fender Forum pages, etc.

If the detailed steps in the provided information do not resolve the issue you are seeing, you are welcome to contact us directly for additional support.

Best Regards,

The guy said he was going through the 4 page PDF file without it helping him, and you respond by pointing him to the very same PDF file?

He stated he is going through a 3 page PDF. Should it be assumed he counted the pages incorrectly?

consolidated pages to save paper.
still working on the problem when I can.

@ strings109*

agreed. first post and its about trouble with a highly flawed app. 17 forum pages addressing the same issue.
says a lot about the software.
As for recording sw, I have no problem with solid platforms. Heck , I started w Tascam 4 track tapes 35 years ago. Only got easier.

How about not making assumptions[*]? They could see that he did go through a troubleshooting PDF, so perhaps it would be better to ask some further question instead of just pointing him at what might very well be the same PDF? That smells too much of a canned/scripted response, and not bothering to actually read his post.

[*]: They make an $@! out of u and mption.

FUSE works just fine on all 4 computers I've installed it on - Windows XP, Vista Home, and Windows 7. 3 Dells and an HP. Just sayin'. Image

Edit: make that 5 computers if I include my old laptop, also Dell.

@Strings,

My plan was to get familiar w the Fuse on desktop n then for physical convenience, buy an inexpensive, old laptop for this single purpose.

maybe you might sell me your old dell laptop #5?

 there was nothing magical about computer #5, they were just all in good working order. The troubleshooting document you're working through addresses some common configurations that may not provide the environment Fuse needs to run.

Fender directs you to the troubleshooting document (presumably) to rule out some basic stuff that can go wrong with Silverlight, Windows, Mac, and IE that will prevent you from using the software. I know it's not fun, but playing with your new amp is fun, so you really have to invest the time if that's what you want to do.

After you get through that, if you let them know you are still having trouble you will surely get some close personal attention from Fender, as I have seen happen for so many forum users in the past.

Fender support is very good, in my opinion. You just have to find out which doors to knock on and when.

In my estimation, at this point, whats magical about your Ltop #5 is that it runs Fuse.

This one install is pretty freaky IMHO.
When I've had similar install snags, it was simply a matter of update, disable FW/ AV, maybe a few registry tweaks, et voila.

Gonna try the batch file thing at lunchtime n see whats next.

OK it's not a dinosaur or anything, I'd offer to help troubleshoot, but I think Fender wants you to stick to the troubleshooting docs and 1-on-1 help - that's how they've been handling questions lately. But one way or another, you WILL run FUSE on that computer!
