Hey Shoegazer,

We're glad you have Fender FUSE up and running. What firewall settings did you have to change?

Tried on two pc's running xp media center sp3 new Silverlite and Flash 10.1.
On the first pc I get the FUSE launcher error then it quits the app.
On the second pc app starts but sits on splash screen while constantly reading hard drive.

Works fine on my netbook with Vista, so at least I can use it. Hope a fix for XP is coming soon. :?

Hi Terk666,

I apologize for the issues you've been experiencing with Fender FUSE. I also find it strange that you are having issues with two XP machines. We've had very few issues with running Fender FUSE on XP boxes.

On both machines please verify that IE7 or later is installed and that javascript is enabled.

On the first PC, are you having a problem during installation or does the app actually launch but then quit? If it launches but then quits, please try running the app without your amp connected to see if it still quits.

I bought a Fender Mustang I today and tried installing the various programmes. Ableton and Amplitube installed just fine, but I cannot make the Fender Fuse programme to run whatsoever. It crashes right after it starts on the "Loading. Please wait" screen.

My system is:
64-bit Dell Inspiron 15R
Windows 7
IE 8
Silverlight 4
and also, it has the latest version of the .NET frameworks

It is really frustrating because I' ve tried nearly all the suggestions in this thread but none of them worked.

If anybody has any effective way of solving this problem please let me know

Hi virtual_drums,

Welcome to the Fender forums. Are you saying that after the Loading Please Wait screen you get a black screen? Are you getting any error messages at all?
If it goes to a black screen I recommend you close Fender FUSE, completely uninstall .NET, Silverlight, Fender FUSE and IE8. Reinstall IE8 and then run the Fender FUSE installer again which will also reinstall Silverlight and .NET. That should get you running.

If that doesn't work, definitely give us a call.

Loren

Hi Loren,

Thanks for your time on this. After poking around a bit I think the issues are with my installation of XP Media Center (both PC's are virtually identical installs, IE8 .NET, Silverlight ).

I upgraded to Vista on PC 1 (which was overdue anyway)and as expected, no problems, including re-registering the third party software.

Thanks for a great amp and software (still can't believe the price for this package).

Hello Lawlietbegu,

Welcome to the Fender forums. I apologize for the issue you're experiencing. Can you please send an email containing your name, system specs, amplifier model and amp serial to the address in my signature?

Thanks,
Loren

I just received my new Mustang I amp and tried loading the latest Fuse software. Like other posts in this forum, I too am receiving the "Loading...Please wait" window. It stays there forever. I uninstalled .NET 3.5 SP1, Fuse and Silverlight. Rebooted my computer and started the Fuse install again. I also turned my anti-virus software and firewall off. I am running IE 8 and it is now set as the default browser (I normally use Firefox). I was able to uninstall .NET Framework 1.1, but 2.0 and 3.0 are being used by other software. I tried with and without the USB connected to the amplifier. The USB connection is direct to the computer, not a hub.

My OS is Windows XP Professional SP3 on a Pentium 4 CPU running 1.60 GHz with 1.50 GB RAM.

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing several times. I must say, this is very frustrating and disappointing for a Fender product. How do I go about getting Fuse to work?

Hey Dan

Don't know if this will help you but I have installed on an XP system and a Vista 32 system. Both times got the same "please wait..". On both I removed Silverlight, removed Fuse, upgraded/updated both to the latest IE8 version. Installed Silverlight from the MS website to make sure had latest. Also ran a Windows update to get Java and ActiveX completely updated.

Then installed Fuse, the latest version off the website not the CD that came with my Mustang. Everything ran fine afterwords on both machines.

Just get everything up to date and latest versions.

Hope it helps, FUSE is great.

Hi stinger22,

Thank you for the suggestions! I uninstalled .NET Framework 3.5 SP1, Silverlight and Fender Fuse. I rebooted. Then I went directly to Microsoft and installed .NET 3.5 SP1 and Silverlight. I rebooted. Then I went to Microsoft and did and update. Again, I rebooted. Then I installed the latest Fuse version from the Fender site. I rebooted! I tried to load Fuse and still get the same result "Loading. Please wait...".

I also restored the default startup for Windows XP Pro drivers and made IE 8 my default browser. Same result, with or without the Mustang I connected.

I will try to contact Fender directly to see if I can get this resolved.

Again, thank you very much for your help!

Dancin Dan
