Resolved!Installed IE8 and Fuse fired up immediately.Didn't have to uninstall anything!
My mistake was that I didn't read the instructions before opening my mouth.
Great invention Fender now if you only learn to put the tone control on the bridge pu of all strats! :)

Ah-ha! Light at the end of the tunnel. I struggled with Fuse for quite a while, but finally paid enough attention to Loren and then followed through on his advice. Now I am happily using Fuse and having a lot of fun modifying all my presets on both of my Mustang amps AND the presets and the backing tracks on my 3 Thirty(s).

And, Loren, I solved the problem logging into Community through Fuse. Copying asterisks did not work, but by typing a new password over the asterisks in auto-login and then saving, I solved the problem. I love my Fender gear!

I too am receiving the dreaded "Loading. Please Wait..."

Image

I'm running XP Pro with SP3 & IE8. 1TB HDD, 2Gig RAM.
I have uninstalled silverlight and all .NET framework as well as FUSE. Originally I tried installing FUSE ver. 2.1.08, however I have had the same result when installing 2.2.0.

I really am looking forward to being able to use this feature of my mustang.

*** UPDATE 3/24 ****
Alan called me today and suggested that I try installing the software on one of my other computers, which I did. It does indeed work on my laptop... Now if we could just make it work on my main computer :|

I had no problem with the original version, but decided to update to the new software. Now I have the "Loading, please wait" screen. I have uninstalled Silverlight and installed the latest version. I am already on IE8. The old version that came on the disk now doesn't work either. Has there been a fix come up yet?

Valcom, contrary to what Mr. Howard would like us to believe, there is probably little ongoing effort to fix the "bug" he identifys...from my point of view, at least. Personally, I've been communicating with the Fender staff (both privately and through comments this forum) on this issue since October, 2010...and its still unresolved. Very frustrating...

Grrrrr....

I've been a Line 6 amp guy for years. Have POD's, Guitar Port and several amps. Went to Guitar Center today to pick up another amp, actually went in to get a Vypyr to try out. Ended up getting talked into a Mustang III by the salesman.

I'm 4 hours into getting Fuse to work and it just wont. This isnt worth my time... taking the amp back and getting another Line 6, they always work.

Sorry Fender, this was the first of your products I have ever purchased. Really liked the amp but the software is a deal breaker.

How do we know you're not the problem ? Or a bad amp, some electronics are faulty. Too many are fine with it, it seems you don't have the patience to figure out the issue. Wahh  You're a one post TROLL~!

Trackstar is NOT the problem! The Fender Fuse software IS the problem. There's no reason a software program should be THIS hard to get running. Nor should any of us be subjected to the convoluted, complicated, "trial and error" approach that Mr. Howard recommends as a fix to this major problem. Product does not live up to its advertised features, plain and simple!

First, I am not a 1 post troll. I never had a reason to post in the Fender Fuse forum unti I bought the amp. That make sense?

Problem isnt me. I'm fairly computer literate. I have been building websites and editing video on NLE's for several years. I've also been using several different software packages for music for several years. I have $5000 worth of pro audio software on different computers and I am versed in how they work.

I also used to write for a guitar review website.

Now the fact is that the software doesnt work on XP. It's not complicated software and shouldnt have this many conflicts. I have very high end HD video editing software running on XP machines and they installed with zero issues. Any software that has a fix of removing your .net framework installs is bad. It's not acceptable.

I shouldnt need to have patience to figure out how to make software run on my computer. I should put in the disc, it should install, it should let me know if I need top update other software and it should tell me if there are hardware/software conflicts. It should not say "Loading Please Wait" for an hour.

Fender needs to issue and update to the specs and say it doesnt work with XP. If they do this the problems will end. I wouldnt have bought the amp and I wouldnt have a bad taste in my mouth for Fender right now.

I'm glad it works for others. I am not changing the OS on a computer that has all of my other audio software on it to make this software work. The software was the selling point on the amp, it doesnt work for me and many others. I am buying a different amp.

Actually it is my belief also that a product should work when you get it home. Musicians purchase this piece of musical equipment to plug in and play, hence the term plug and play. Plug and play technology was standardized with Windows 95 over a decade and a half ago. There are bugs in the FUSE software that prevent it from being a true plug and play product, however I hope that Fender will soon correct these issues. I bought the Mustang 1 as a practice amp to teach my grandson how to play. For this purpose I am content for now with the standard sounds supplied with the amp. However if I had purchased an amp with the specific intentions of being able to mold my own settings, I would be extremely disappointed with the Mustang/FUSE package.

I have to agree with a lot of the comments concerning the software. I am not a computer geek but do know my way around basic trouble shooting on a computer. Never had this type of problem with music software...and I have a lot of it.

I can't even get the program to open at all. I double click the icon and nothing happens. I have been using the software since December and just recently ran into this problem. I can't even get my original 2.0 version to open. I thought if I used the disk that came with the amp to load the original version might do it.......but it only directs me to the website to download the latest. I have tried everything.....I'm screwed. Halfway through a recording and have to re record the guitars.

The silence of the Fender staff that monitors this forum, especially Loren Howard, is deafening, isn't it?!!!

I don't blame Loren, Alan or Brad for the problems with the software... I don't believe that they wrote it. I see them as valiant troopers trying to support a program that is inherently flawed. I think that Loren, Alan or Brad would help us resolve this issue if they could. I wonder if the problem is predominantly with computers running XP with high-end audio components? Trackstar is running high-end equipment, I'm running a 5.1 surround sound card on my main system, but my laptop with standard windows drivers works. FWIW, I have been working in the IT field for over 15 years and involved with music for over 35 years.

I appologize sincerely, I had a bit too much coffee this morning, no excuse for my words, I am sorry. It's a shame you had some troubles with it. Mine went fairly smoothly, so i had a different experience. Now in regards to setting it up to record I did offer a bunch of assistance which proved useful to some, that I had a couple of hurdles to go over.
